There was one of those at Long & Mcquade in Vancouver a few years ago. It had the fattest neck I'd ever experienced on a bass guitar.
I should have bought it anyway!

I own a Vintage ICON fretless bass, they write "... replicates the beautiful, worn-in look and feel of an instrument that exhibits a lifetime's worth of woodshedding, rehearsing and performing, straight out of the box. Good things come to those who wait – but who has the time for that?", so all these basses look exactly the same. Nice instruments anyway, it is very hard to make it more distressed than it is new because of the quality of the finish.

I feel (for example) when Fender created the "Road Worn" series - they scored. I played one and attest to all the raves it get's. The J I played was light, it had a great neck, it felt "broken in" and it sounded the way a great J sounds. (PV64 pu's) But as you said, they all look the same and it looks generically distressed. But here's the genius part... a used Road Worn J will look, sound and play exactly like a new one! An added chip, scratch, ding? ...even better! And no need to polish it or fuss over it - Just Play It (move over Nike... )

I'm building my own Olympic White Precision with Tortoise pickguard and Rosewood fretboard. Looking at the aging on this one has given me some ideas. Old but cared for is the look I'm after. Played a few times, then put on the stand or hung on the rack.

Yes, it's all original. Note the position of the clipped decal which is typical for black headstocks of that era.

My '69 PBass, stripped the sunburst some 40 yrs ago, applied Glitsa floor finish, 'cropped' the scratch plate and installed Nordstrand NP4 pickup because the original was 'fading'. Maybe I remount the ashtray one day...

I also stripped my cherry red '68 EB3 (bought new) in the early '70s - everybody was "going natural". Also had the frets pulled. (before becoming aware of Jaco) This proof-sheet is the only pic I have of it.
