I think a lot of us like them. I think $$$ may be an issue ;)

There are several CS's on ebay for $2200 and lower. I picked up my "59 RI for $1700 and I've seen NOS's for as low as $1500. What folks are now dropping on the Fender P5. There are many folks here into Alleva Coppolo's, Sadowsky's & Laklands that are $3000+. Maybe less than that for Lak's. I contacted Jimmy Feb 13th and was quoted $3895.00 for the KBP5 Classic. I'm not sure $$$ are the issue. Maybe the site here is to promote other brands? That's cool. I own a Sadowsky, Lakland & Mike Lull, and I enjoy them all. They're all beautiful and play nice. I just think it's funny there's not one other person here on this site that has a Fender CS bass to show. Oh well. Guess I showed up at the Formal in Costume. :hiding:

Always wanted to approach the Fender CS to get a quote for a custom, but, other than going to some far-flung branches of Guitar Center (and probably having to deal with typical clueless GC staff), I haven't found any other way to get in touch with them. Anyone got any details?
