I, for one, would LOVE to see this. It came from a different time and place. It's an object with a cool history and no ill-will or intent. I think it's a shame that you feel it has to be banished from society because it doesn't fit today's sensibilities, which are as fleeting as morning dew here in NM (we usually don't have any dew, and it's gone by sun-up).

Time has moved on for sure, but I do View it from the time it was built. There’s no point in taking it out just to rile people...!That's awesome, especially given the story of blowing up a photo till it seemed about right! Ingenuity!
As for the paint, well, it is what it is. I grew up on the Duke Bros, too. I might not play it out much, but I wouldn't touch it given your history with it, unless it bothers you.
That looks like a true relic, I love it.
