I always like the looks of that head when I see it. I'm not sure why we got away from that look.
Because you watched too much MTV and decided you needed to pimp your product line?

I like the simplistic look of the old heads, but I prefer the newer GBE look personally. As long as you keep that brushed metal. I don't care for the chrome thing like SWR got into. That's too much bling.

Also, I've been meaning to take pictures of my rig for months, and still haven't done it. I need to get my act together and get something going here.

What year is that head and cab?

Maybe Hasbeen could comment on the year of the head. I know it's the first head that Genz Benz made and I think it came out in the mid to late 90's.

The cab on the bottom is the live series. I bought it a year or two ago and they still have it up on the web page.

I dig the looks of the head too. The new stuff is nice but I'm happy with my model.

The GBE500 came out in 1999. The GBE600 came out in 2002. This was in the day before people were afraid of amps over 10 pounds. ;)

I think it's great that we have so many choices in a lightweight amp. I love being able to grab my 350 watt head with one hand and put it in a little bag.

Now if someone could design a loud, full range cab that you could carry in the other hand...

Me too....I kid...I kid. :)

Hey..cabs have gotten better too with all the neo choices on the market today.

I moved a tube amp with a classic 8x10 last weekend.

I can't believe I used to do that all the time.

Hey All,

Can someone tell me how good the Genz Benz 1200 or 750 is? I'm looking to get a new amp, I've played Epifani UL502 & Thunderfunk 550B. How does the GB stack against those two amps? I friend was telling em that me can acquire a AMPEG sound using a blend of the FET & Tube channels. That blows me away. Unfortunately no dealer near me sells the GB.
Thanks in advance.
