Show your Genz Benz gear!

Here is the monster with 1 of my cabs. I haven't used both at once yet, and I can only imagine the volume if I did.

tidnab Ive always been curious about that combination (GB head/Aggie cabs). Can you describe the sound?

The Reason I picked the GB is the flexibility of sounds... you can make it quick and poppy with the FET channel and nice and warm with the tube..

After trying out several different cabs... I found the Aggies to have the warm rich sound (that I like) and that's exactly what I get with this combination...

If I want it to be bright and punchier I usually use the mesa...

I figured that the Genz would get hot runnin the 2 aggies @ 2 ohms, yet it's not even luke warm, in fact it's almost running cold... I just have to be careful of the speakers as the 2x10 is rated @ 350 4ohms

sorry kinda rambled there... hopefullly answered your question... once I get a new shockmount for my akg414 I'll put it in front and record something so you can hopefully figure out if you like it or not...

cheers,
Ryan

I wish Genz-Benz offered a Bass amp that looked like the "El Diablo 100" Guitar Amp... Just gorgeous with the tubes showing through the grill ....

we've dabbled with designing a tube bass amp...Andy has done quite a bit of work. Someday.

Hey Tidnab, what's in the box between the 750 and the wireless?

nothing too exciting it's a monster pro power 2500... I bought this rack right here on TB... ;)..

hopefully I'll have the shuttlemax soon... The Aggie stuff is 4 ohms the Mesa is 8... I'll be able to play mix the 2x12 and the PH when I have the shuttlemax.... :hyper:... Unless someone knows somethin I don't ... pretty sure I don't want to mix a 4 and 8 on the GBE750 (shrug maybe it'd work) would it be running @ 6ohm 8+4/2? or would I just set it to 2?? no idea... I really luv that GB :>

The Shuttle 3.0 Combo on top of another is interesting. I have that combo, but am thinking about a 6.0/210 combo instead. I like how portable the 3.0 combo is, but the 210 and the tube preamp really has a great sound - just not sure about the extra weight and size. That's a funny thing to say about a 41 pound, 375 watt, 28" x 18 " x 14" amp.
