Thanks guys! I'll definitely start a thread when that bass is finished and in my hands.

And the birdseye/figuring on my BN4 is really off the hook!

Ash/walnut/maple/maple MTD 535.

And for the record, outside of a vintage P-bass with that aged yellow tint my favorite maple boarded basses are MTDs and F-Basses and Tom you've got a beautiful example of each.

Oh, one last contribution. I loved the look of this maple boarded Valenti so much that I told Nino I wanted one just like it except as a passive P with flats. I can hardly wait . . .

Yeah, its a Gibby. 76 G-3 (Grabber with 3 single coils).
