Show Your Love For 15's - Post Those Cab Pics!

emperor06.jpg

Just got another empty 2x15 mojo cab too... No speakers for it yet, but hopefully soon!

Aha, you recommended something like this in a thread of mine... the 350 eh? I guess it's enough with 2 cabs... how about just an 8 ohm load? Will it blow my fool head off? :D

I used it for the first time last Friday and Saturday night. It sounded great. I got more complements about my tone in one weekend than I have gotten in the past three years. I did have to have the volume and gain fairly high to keep up with my loud drummer and guitar player's Marshall stack. I think once the second cabinet is added it will be the ideal setup. One cabinet for smaller gigs and a second if needed for larger ones.

I've been pretty happy with my old Trace AH250SMX, but I'll be looking for something like this in the coming months. I'm hearing good things about the little 'pegs. Good to hear more, thanks. Glad you like it!

Kasino Snake Eyes 2x15....took me like 6 months and getting corrected twice (Was told it was Kustom, half-true...Kustom made Kasino cabs) to figure out what cab it REALLY was. Anyhow, two Eminence Legend 15's will only make it sound better lol

Rad! I had the Kasino Snake Eyes head a while back. 125W of 100% THD. Also had grounding problems & shocked one of my buddies once. That thing was still awesome though. Can't go wrong with 3 bass knobs. :D

EVM-15B-II in a 2 cu ft ported cab and an Eminence 10" open back w/a high pass filter. Powered by a '65 blackface Showman. This is what I use for my URB and it's never failed me for jazz or acoustic music. There's of course DI from the Baggs ParaDI for larger venues but rarely needed :smug:

I just recently purchased two D140F's that'll go into two 1-15 ported cabs (specs posted here on TB by BFM, thank you!) later this fall when I get some time to build them. Again, to be powered by the Showman, but will experiment w/my GK 400RB just for grins :D

Great thread, really enjoying the 15 porn ;)

Both of these cabinets are gone now, but I do have some fond memories :D I hope that wherever they are, they're rockin' hard!

Gibson 800B - Oddball cab... Was originally a powered cab but was totally a basket case when I got it. Removed the corroded power-amp and decaying speakers and put in a pair of Kappas... Had a mighty roar under the V4...

Another one that would never win a beauty contest :atoz: Musicman 115RH with an Eminence Kappa... This setup had a satisfying amount of punch, and I really loved the cab, but needed the space...

So much cool in one spot. Eight 15"s.

Have you played through that rig yet? If so, have you turned up? How do they sound?

i did play the 220 head thru one of the cabs and it sounded awesome, but i'm looking for another 320 head now. i never should have sold the mint one that i had 6 months ago).

in order to play thru both cabs, i'll have to either hook them up in series (since they're 2 ohm cabs), or power it with my crown xti2000, and i plan on doing that tomorrow. :hyper:
