LOVE the Bill Lawrence P/J set!

...now wishing one of these were a 5er.....:crying:

I hear everyone say how "cheap" white guards look, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Old yellowed white guards are the best.

Too bad it just doesn't seem to have the tone my Squier CV P has. I don't claim to know the reason (VVT syndrome/etc) but sadly it is for sale. If I didn't want a P5 so bad I would probably invest some money into this thing to get it to sound the way I want.

Haven't had a chance to make a decent recording with it yet - it's strung with rounds and my Duck Dunn Signature with GHS flats fits the music I'm playing better right now:

A new DIY bass build. Custom Tele Bass. The single coil P and J pickup. Open grain black ash finish. About 95% finished. Lacking headstock decal and final finish up on the nut. (Will post this bass and story later on when 100% complete.)
