How do you set the mids through your Schro? I've found that the most pleasing results with the Thunderbass are to roll them back a bit on the amp as the bass has such a naturally biting mid on its own and doesn't always need the extra bump that the Schro puts in there. What have been your own experiences with this combination?

Ah Cawppafeelds, yup remember it right next to TF Green, but I never gigged there. I saw my buddy Bobby Pimental do a cover gig there a while ago.

I live about an hour from Mike's shop. I've been there a couple of times. Once for a setup and the other time to replace a bad pot. Mike's a great guy and he really cares about his customers.

That rig was a Carvin B1500/Schroeder 410L. I no longer have the 410L. I agree that the Thunderbolt/Thunderbass is a very mid-punchy bass and really doesn't need much help from the amp in the mids. The Carvin has low-mid, mid and high-mid controls and when using the Thunderbolt, I usually leave them flat or on "1" at the most.

I finally get to have a Pedulla, been gassing for them for a while, this one is enroute from the US (Thanks Brad) to a sunny island close to the equator. Can't wait to get my hands on her. The photo is again courtesy of Brad.

Sorry I missed this question somehow. It's been at least a couple of years since I've been to Mike's. The last time I was there, he did have an assistant. I know he scaled down a bit for a while, but I see he is now selling Rapture and Buzz basses through Musician's Friend, so maybe he'll be expanding. Either way, the man makes a killer bass!
