Lady Tink is a lovely specimen...somehow she looks familiar.
She's a good little dog. What they call a bandog. But 2nd gen. Which no one has done successfully. Also suspect a dearth of grandparents in the gene pool. Great personality, tho. Good sense of humour.
Teeth showing in fear is widespread in mamals. Last I looked, there was some debate about the origin of the human smile.

So sorry, Jim. Dogs and other pets are family, and it's always tough when you have to say goodbye to them.
Odie, when someone says "doggie spa day" to him. He loses his mind! He loves being pampered by the ladies at his vet's office.

So then I tell them he might be "Thai Savory" which I think is hilarious but nobody gets the joke.
Or I tell them he is whatever they think he is....or whatever they want him to be.
Seems the brindle coat throws people, they tend to think he must be a Boxer mix or have some Great Dane or Greyhound or whatever brindle dog they know.
I've seen brindle cows/cattle here in Texas! ..first time I saw that I was surprised, all the cows where I'm from were black and white Holstein variety.

1st gen bandog(ge)s are 60-80 kg. Like her parents. Successive generations get smaller and smaller. I don't even know if they're still called bandogs. She tips the scales at 40. 30 of those kilos are legs. On top of those legs is a little English Staffie. My dogs start off outside and don't become inside dogs until the old dog dies. Until then the whole of their indoor experience is at the vet. Throughout their lives, if we should walk past the surgery they will try and go in. The look on the vet's face when I tell them no treats please. They already love coming here.
Of course the best bit is I haven't toilet trained a dog in 3 decades.
True. There are no rules. A popular mix is pit bull/ neopolitan mastiff, for size and loyalty. Some bloke tried to make a breed of that in the 60s. But came up against the problem above. Little Tinkly got the loose face and go-getter mindset makes me think those breeds could be in her story.
And enough asymmetrical bits to make me think she should have a bigger story, genetically speaking.
Down here we call them Bitzers. Catches all. Bits er this and bits er that.
Bit fraught calling them Mongrels there, huh?
2 types of cross breed tho. Targeted breeds for specific traits like Tinkles and the good old fashioned jumped the fence model like Combo. I'll take either one. Not so big on purebreds. Mutts tend to have lower vet bills.
Concerned that the shopping list being prepared is not adequately addressing his needs. And why we can’t leave food on the counter.
