Got a new setup, tidied up. Still rolling some pedal selections, but overjoyed with the Vertex board. I mounted a TP-1 hinged riser (20"x6") on a Tour Compact (26"x14").
The Pelican 1615 it goes in, is a joy- super light, and I can fit the main board as well as an aux board for a couple loopers.
The three pedals "under the hood" are all hooked up to the triple switching unit at the front.

My first pedal board!

The Zoom B3 started me on this particular rabbit hole back in late 2013. I didn't like the dirt and I didn't like the compression. Which were the first two addional pedals I added. I later flipped my Zoom B3 for a MS-70 CDR which I still had until last month. I think that's the longest term pedal I've ever owned. It was great because it stuck to what the little Zoom did best...Chorus, reverb and delays. So yes, I have a soft spot for Zoom pedals. The B3 has a few advantaged over the smaller MS series of pedals, one is the drum machine and looper, the other is the optional Expression pedal. That's sorely missed on the MS series.

I'm so in love with the B3 because I can have my chorus, EQ, Sansamp sim, tuner, and looper all in the same $100 (used) pedal. I have the wrong patch displayed in that pic, unfortunately! And yes, upgrading to separate dirt and compression pedals was a world of a difference haha. I'll have to check out the MS pedal, you've got me curious! That being said, I don't think I'll be exchanging my B3 or adding any new pedals for a while, I'm pretty happy with my current setup and I've spent too much on effects already considering I'm still in university

The MS-70CDR has a lot more chorus, delays and reverbs than the B3. So it's a good optional upgrade and relatively cheap too.

@toomuchstraw as @GMC mentions the MS70cdr and MS60b condense all of the sounds plus into a smaller package but you trade off many of the features of the full size console. I use both ~ MS pedals on my boards & the B3 for effects and as a recording interface. Zoom pedals seem to linger for me.
I personally find the MS60b more pleasing on bass and use the MS70cdr more for guitar or the exotic effects it includes.

Yep, I have held onto numerous zoom products. MS-60B on my main board, B3 with expression pedal as a convenient all in one option. Even grabbed a B1ON cheap that I found locally.

I started out with a Zoom BFX-708 multi effect processor back in like, 1999. I loved that thing!

Ended up moving into individual pedals and I've been through a ton of them. Sometimes I think I should have just kept the Zoom and pocketed the many thousands of dollars I've spent.

Zoom seems to get a lot right in their designs.

This is the "Tidy board" thread, not the Compact board thread. Yours qualifies, for sure. Why didn't MXR ever make a tuner?

It's pretty good. It cops that deep ambient atmospheric delay really well and really easily. I like that I can use the looper and the delay at the same time. But I do wish it had a separate button for the tap.

V.3x. Still can't dial in dirt I liked and could actually use and don't want to go down that hole so I took it all off. Might get a Source Audio Aftershock, might throw the TC Spark back in the chain and between that and the EBS Tube setting get enough dirt when wanted (nearly never at present).
New spacing is better. The Ditto which gets the most taps vs set and forget preamp and HPF are off to the side.
Sadly, to some degree, this board makes me wonder why I use one at all. It's nice but at present less knobs, less stuff is better (big strike against the Aftershock, but the gas is real).

Notably I made a dedicated 'dirtboard' which I can route in that sounds not bad.
