Show your Twins

In 2012 I was working at a music store in Canada, and I was looking to get a couple of gigging basses that were 'matched' in not only finishes but in tone as well. It started with a love affair with an American Standard Pbass in 3TS. No less that 2 other AS Jazz basses in the same finish came and went before I found a matching Jazz. These two are so close acoustically they might as well have been from the same tree. Obviously through an amp they are different, but close enough that I could take them to gigs together and not have the sound guy freak out on me for differing levels etc. I have always taken them together, changed the strings at the same time, stuff like that. I have maintained that I would want to sell them someday as a pair to someone who would appreciate this type of thing. I almost let them go separately this week for financial reasons, but after playing them for a bit this morning decided I would just tough it through until the right situation arose. They're too good together to split them up. Anyways, just needed to put this out there to see how many others have a matched set like these. Show your twins. Here they are on the left in the store about 10 minutes before I bought them.

fraternal: kapok (chinese): each with different mods/upgrades. not sure why the headstocks were fashioned differently --- except for color, they sported the same description/specs.

Actual twins plus a brother. Two USA Blueburst G&L L2500 in fretted and fretless. (simply too cool for words) plus a Tribute L2500 fretted "bar bass".
Note that pickguards are removable to change look and my current favorite has the blue ones with the same blue squiggly pattern guards and the Tribute natural with Tort.

My twin Ibanez EDB-555s. They are fantastic instruments, but I am now playing medium scale basses almost exclusively due to issues stemming from spinal damage/surgery, so I will probably be selling the pair together in the very near future and putting the money towards getting a fretted Muckelroy to match my 32” scale HMC-5 Fretless...
