Killer duo! I've had a Clayton with "upgraded" pickups (probably more of a sideways-grade), and I love it. What's the story with that red jazz?

Not really twins... more like estranged cousins; the 4-strings are both Distillates, and the 5-strings are also related directly. The fretted one was the source instrument that the specs for the fretless came from.
Close... had different mommaz I think.
Born days apart.
My two Yamaha RBXJM2 John Myung Signature 2 bass guitars in purple plum metallic. Same strings, same gauge, installed at the same time. Same luthier sets them both up at the same time. Same Fretfx. Same batteries in the preamps. Same strap locks and straps. Same cases.
I love having a duplicate of my main bass. One stays home and is practiced on, the other stays at our studio and is used for rehearsals, recording and live. The other is a perfect backup at gigs, etc. I never have to adjust for anything, ever, when moving between them.
