I owned one of the '60s originals (National) which sported a two-piece Res-O-Glas body and a sort'of piezo pu in the bridge along with a magnetic pu. Definitely not as deluxe as this Airline RI (of sorts) It was very short scale, light and... unique sounding. I imagine this one sounding more like a standard two pu bass. Originals are fun, but more of a novilty.

In Ed Friedland's YT vid he states it is fairly light since it is chambered, but then he doesn't give an exact number either.
I’ll have to check later but it’s about average for a bass. It’s not significantly light in any way. It balances well though (surprisingly).

It’s quite comfortable to play. The neck feels very P-bass to me. Shorter scale is nice too. Sounds like a much bigger instrument ( kind of like an angry thunderbird with more high frequency content).
