I kinda wish I had a 1/2 power switch for my Classic 400. 8x KT88 is tough to push that hard

I've been a mod for like 4 years
or do you mean the newer extra spots I took on (started in "Bassists" and added "Recording Gear" and "The Lobby"... some how the Welcome and GTG sections got added too)
ive been wanting one of these GREEN ones for a while now..Al Cisneros of SLeep and Om uses them. im pretty sure all the colors are for different styles but im having a hard time finding much out about them. Is the orange one not authentic Orange product? http://www.electricamp.com/home.html
The Green ones (like the first Orange ones) were build by Matamp. The Green ones were a nod to Peter Green

thanks guys. i've always wanted to have the Orange rig. it's cool cause they're real unique, just like I am, so it fits well.
I just need to figure out the whole "Passive EQ" thing. No one on the Orange forum can figure out where "Flat" is on the EQ. Guesses have been that it's with the knobs full tilt, but no one's confirmed that for sure.
I just noticed the 9V battery standing at attention on top of the amp. Almost like Henery Hawk standing up there:

At the end of the day, I gotta agree. Whatever knob position sounds good, is good.
TB's AD200/NV610 rig looks like a cool rock machine.
Anybody care to compare the clean tones of the Orange AD200 with some other tube amps (Mesa 400+, Ampeg, Sunn 300T)? And what can one expect to pay for a new AD200? I expect they're pricey.

I can compare it to an Aguilar DB359 (another 200 watt all tube monster).
The Orange I feel Colors the tone a lot more. It can be clean, but the Aggie was almost too clean to be tubey. The Orange is very tubey and colored tone. If you keep the Gain low you can achieve a nice Clean sound even at higher volumes. The Aggie was tighter and punchier than the Orange, the Orange is a little more loose and bottom heavy.
A new Orange AD200B goes for $2050 USD. Used they go for around $1500-1600.

I like it with all the knobs set at about noon, maybe some tweaking one way or the other, depending on the instrument.

that's what i was usually doing as well. im gonna try it at everything maxed and see if theres a difference in tone or just in volume. then ill EQ accordingly.
