:D Again, just think by driver, not by cab, and think what happens when you either add a third 112 cab to a 2 x 112 stack. It's the same thing with a 4ohm 212 and an 8ohm 112 of the same design (and conceptually the same as adding an 8ohm 210 to a 4ohm 410 with a monoblock head, or a 'dual mono head with no balance control, like the Max 12). It really works nicely, and results in three awesome rigs:

In the case of the monoblock head....

112 at 8ohm for small gigs
212 at 4ohm for larger gigs
212/112 at 2.67 ohms for the largest gigs.

And the bonus is, a solid state amp will 'adjust' its output appropriately for each 'rig', providing the most power at 2.67 ohms, and the least at 8ohms, matching the relatively power requirements of each iteration. In all configurations, each of the 12" drivers will receive roughly the same power from the amp (slightly reduced as you add drivers, since power doesn't double going from 8 to 4, and then 4 to 2.67).

+1, and all the reason why I loved this setup so much for a long time. Putting the little 112 on top of the 212 just adds "more of the same" in a big way. More volume, more air movement, and it gets a driver up higher which makes hearing easier. I know some people did this with two 212's, but that stack to me was TOO tall, and it put too much direct sound in my ear unless I was way out in front of the rig. With the 212/112 setup, you can stand close on the rig to really feel things moving, yet not be blasted by the mid frequencies coming from the highest driver. Of course, that's assuming you are an average sized person. :D

Well, it DID get me an edge... from what I understand they ARE shipping daily. They had to make sure they could earmark one for me last week since the dealer orders were rolling out. Should be in the stores any time, if not already.

I run that config Often off my max12. Three 12s --two on one side and one on the other.. So one side on my MAx12 is running 4 ohms and the other 8 ohms.. and they even out very nicely so each cab is getting basically the same power...

Should I look into maybe having one cab 4Ohms and the other 8?? And look at an amp that can handle below 4Ohm load if I run like that?

I don't recall in any of your literature or on your web site ever reading anything regarding getting the optimum performance from your amps/cabs to run different impedances (if using different configs like a 210/410 or 112/212 etc...).

Yes, they are shipping out daily. Some dealers got their orders in earlier than others. Some are also more bold in their ordering style too. I know I have received a couple of e-mails and PM's from folks who have received theirs or played one at their dealer.

Dont worry about it, just listen. Your ears are the key, when it starts distorting, turn it down.....
This cab opens up nicely with power. I used to run it with my 1200 and that was an incredible sound. Now I have close to the same sound (same power) with a LOT less weight. I love the Shuttle 9.0. It was a bit shocking how much louder the 9.0 is than the 6.0....
