Shuttle 9.0?

I can not wait to get one of these.

As far as the lights go I really like the bright LED's.

As far as an 18.0 goes I can not see where that much more power over the 12.0 is needed.

For your needs. ;)

Simply put, 1200 watts will never sound the same as 1800 watts.

Not that I would (and just for example purposes), but imagine running 4 8ohm 410/212s (Ubers, Epifani, ect) at a rated 2000 watts (500 per cab) from a single amp. Touring/arena rig??? :bassist:

I'm not a power bigot by any means, nor do I want to keep going round in circles or seem insistent on my personal G.A.S. pains (TalkBass syndrome), but I can definitely see a purpose/place for a Shuttle Max 18.0.

Point. I agree, and while I've been looking for something in the 1Kw range, I'm not looking for 97897 knobs for eq and filters. I like to keep things simple on stage.

True again. Having multiple channels and needing 2ohm loads to get the most out of an amp doesn't attract me in the least. I've been looking for an ~1000w amp lately and was hoping the LittleMark Tube 800 would do the trick, but it doesn't look like it. I've played a Shuttle 6 and it didn't move the world for me, but I didn't have any complaints either. I'm pretty dedicated to the 'micro' format, but have lately been feeling like the LMII doesn't have the headroom I need.

Now I've got a new cab coming...my 15/6, and I'd like to feed it properly but I also need to feel like the carpet won't be pulled out from under my feet when I go below E and have my lows boosted.

Maybe this is worth a try...

What amazes me is the number of guys who need to go to 2 Ohms.
I couldn't imagine any club under 500 seats needing any thing more than a 410/212.
So running two 410 4 Ohm cabs just seems crazy to me unless they're 210 cabs at 4 Ohms each.

They're the ones who were conned into believing that they should buy a 4ohm cab so they could squeeze the most out of their amp, but then found they needed more speaker real estate...so they needed another cab. Then they needed a different amp.

I had an amp that did 2ohms...and never felt the need to run at two.

I hear you. It's just the SM 12.0 is so stinking loud into two 4 ohm efficient cabs it is scary. Before I got an SM 12 I was running the SWR M2 Preamp into a QSC PLX2 1804 and man was it powerful. Though I decided I still needed less weight than that.

Most of the time right now I am running an LMIII because of it's smallness in size/portability but man is it light in the britches and when you push it the thing squashes like a 5y3 rectifier hooked into an SVT. It really doesnt matter whether you have the Bi Band Limiter or not it just squashes and that is the last word on the subject there.Those folks saying they are running an LMII/III in a rock band with two Marshall stacks are living in perception, not reality or the Marshall's are there for looks only.

The Shuttle 9.0 is quite enticing to me. Think of it 500 watts into 8 ohms would cover the small things and add a cab and turn it to some power!

I think most Shuttle Max 12.0 users are probably only running one side (amp) at modest sized venues anyway.

But it sure is nice to have a "backup" amp, a choice between all FET or all tube tone (or both!), more control over the mids, and the peace of mind of getting the most out of your multiple cabinet configurations regardless of ohm loads (running unconventional variations - be it 4/4 or 4/8), all in one lightweight 1800 watt amp!

I'm holding out :D

(but might eventually give in and just purchase the Shuttle 9.0 and two Bergie AE210s)

Time for a rig overhaul...

I feel you.

I don't know about you guys, but running a 2 ohm load has always made me... nervous. :hiding:

So these Shuttle Max type heads ("stereo", multiple amp) can really offer players in my shoes some much needed "comfort".
