Shuttle 9.0?

I have a 6.0 and a 1200. I keep the 1200 around when I need to run a 2ohm load using both of my 212T cabs.
However, I use the 6.0 on 98% of my gigs and absolutely love the simple controls.

Don't make too much fun of me for asking..... but can I use my 6.0 as a preamp for my 1200 through the effects loop?

not silly at all.....give it a try. I do stuff like that all the time. I've put our front ends through all tube power sections and the like.

I prefer the black, but the thing that drives me nuts the most about my Shuttle 6 is the brightness of the LEDs.

I like the idea of the Shuttle 9, but what I'd really like would be to be able to drive two 4-Ohm cabs (I'm using a Berg AE410 and wouldn't mind adding an AE210 or another AE410 just for kicks). I know the Shuttle 12 does that, but the sheer number of knobs on that beast turns me off.

+1 on both points.

Marketing feedback for GB (IMHO):
*The chassis size and weight for the 6.0 are great!
*Being able to run 2x 4ohm cabs in that package would be tremendous
*LEDs are a bit too bright for me too. Maybe a small SMT pot on the board somewhere in series with the +V pullup (I'm guessing the LEDs are powered by a common source) that we could tweak ourselves?
*I want a Max12.0 but am a bit daunted by the size and number of knobs on that fella.

The 9.0 is a fantastic next-step: two good 8 ohm cabs for larger venues but plenty of power into a single 8 ohm cab for smaller gigs.

Yes you can do this and easily too...

Take the effects send out of the 6.0 into the effects return of the 1200. The master volume of the 1200 will be your master volume now.

I stopped by Bass Emporium today to pick up my new Roscoe, and I see this sinister little box sitting at the counter. Ed Friedland was about to box it up and send it back, but we got a chance to give it a spin before it went back to GB.

All I have to say is... WOW!!!

This thing absolutely kills! The best way I can describe it is a 6.0 with a more powerful low end, and amazing amounts of volume!! Those of you who would typically use the low boost on the 6.0 wouldn't need it here. All that extra power really opens up the lows, and makes for a true, honest to god, giant-killer.

Err......OK, someone chime in on this please.
For some reason I have the idea of jumping back to a heavy weight head ala' the GBE1200 (then the jerks at Genz come out with the 9.0....Killin' me.....) and that above statement intrigues me.

Has anyone spent time with the 1200 and the 9.0 (or the 6.0/S'Max 12) enough to comment.

I would love to hear some direct experience as well. When one of these becomes available at Guitar Factory close to my house, I will take my GBE1200, my Uber 410 and my basses to GF and try them out side-by-side. Until then, I look forward to someone else's comments with much anticipation.

Anyway, from a video, how do you come to that conclusion???

I didn't mean to say that I've made an actual replacement decision here, but rather that I will agressively pursue an evaluation (whether I have to purchase one and AB them at home or do so at GF). If I confirm what I hear in the video, I will swap the heavy for the light. The video makes me want one, not sure I will outright swap my 1200 for it yet.

What I do hear from that video is the same characteristic response as I do with a video'd or simply recorded example of my stage sound. That is extremely encouraging to me and makes me drool!

Maybe not, but I'm a buyer for sure when the ShuttleMax 18.0 comes out! The power would be similar to another well-known company's amp, but reliability and customer service will undoubtedly be far better! (And that great GB sound ...!)

Great to see and read this.

There's new competition for my next amp! Granted, there are other items that I want/need more, but hey.

The quick features that are most appealing (that these offer): the DI, light weight, and high power. The price is pretty nice too.

I'll check the other side of the boards for experience from DB guys w/the Shuttle series when I get home. I'm playing "RENT" in one of the suburbs.

Well, I certainly don't need another amp! But I ordered my Shuttle 9.0 today. It'll have to do until GB releases the ShuttleMax 18.0 -- my next killer amp!!

No they didn't, but there has been plenty of speculation/interest. (See coments made by gregbackstrom, fretster, VroomVroom, ect.) Heck, svtb15's mock up is enough to get anyone going.

From what I gather they wouldn't "officially" announce it until it's ready to ship, if they are even going to do it at all.

Hence the "Just a thought..." title of my post.

A Shuttle Max 18.0 would be a godsend to anyone wanting to run a matching pair of Bergantino 4 ohm cabs to full potential (HS410, AE410, NV610, NV 412). The Shuttle 9.0 would take care of anyone interested in running a matching pair of Bergantino 8 ohm cabs to full potential (and make a killer modular micro rig while you are at it!!!).

Just wishful thinking bro.

I recently tried the Shuttle Max 12.0 with a AE210/AE410 stack at Rockin Robin in Houston and... wheeeeeeweeeeee!!! Talk about punchy, clear, aggressive, warm, TONE!!

The though of a Shuttle Max 18.0 feeding the AE210 a full 400 watts and the AE410 a full 800 watts gives me plenty of G.A.S. That rig right there would cover my small cafe/jazz trio gigs (AE210), medium club/bar gigs (AE410), AND large no P.A. support/main stage outdoor festival type gigs (AE210/AE410).

The same could be said about the Uber 210/410 stack. I tried them too, just not my cup.
