I'm hoping someone might be able to give me the volume and tone pot values for the Sire U5 short scale. I'm guessing they are probably 500K volume and 250k tone, but cant measure without disconnecting the coils.
Looking to a replacement Dimarzio Relentless set of pups and they require those values according to their diagram.

I just ordered a white pearl pickguard from WD Music because i think it would look great with the white pearl blocks on the fingerboard. But I was going to keep the black one in case I ever wanted to change the looks again just for kicks. But I am a tort guy …

That is gorgeous! I like the smoother, blue-er burst on that compared to my fretless 5er (more greenish in the center).

My M7 five string had some pretty sharp and sprouted frets, please post how yours are.

Hopefully that isn't the case.

Seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which instruments arrive with that.

I've had made in the USA Gibsons that were like cheese graters.

Perhaps shipping and storage conditions paired with wood dryness levels is a factor here too.

My M7 was shipped from Indonesia to Germany and then to the USA so plenty of chances for all kinds of different conditions.

Yeah, it's less a question of manufacturing quality than it is the shipping conditions the instrument went through on its journey.

This time of year, it's a battle to keep indoor RH to 50%.

Winter it's different - thankfully we have a whole house humidifier.

The mid sweep knob was loose, so I fixed that. Tone control knob needed to be re-centered, so I fixed that too.

The bass has broken my brain with the extra string and 35" scale length. I'm trying to play Blue Moon from a written out bass part, and it's gone all sideways!

We'll get there. Sounds great and plays very well.

Pots on mine were scratchy, I lubed them all. Worth doing.

I try to switch up between the M7 and my 34" scale stuff as much as possible, the brain adjusts to the changes a bit faster as I keep going it seems.

I use the EB Kobalt flats, fit the 35" scale great (not thru body tho) and sound really good.
