Fender Bronco and Ashdown PT60 are the least expensive combos at MF with an XLR DI output. A 3.5mm line out is not a DI. That is what the Rumbles and many others have.

The Rumbles have an XLR out. It's labeled DI but, as another poster noted, the output is post EQ.
Any cheap combo and a Sansamp VT pedal.
I have the A35 and am happy with it. It was bought for practice but i have wound up using it on quiet gigs. Seems to be a quality build but it is a heavy little sucker. 100 US used. All of the Hartke A series combos (A25, A35, A70, and A100) have XLR Direct Output (pre EQ) as well as Preamp Out (post EQ), both not affected by Vol knob.
The volume for the settings on the Rumble also control the volume on the DI but our sound guy can work with it. I play my 40 watt Rumble with the band every week. I should add that we use electronic drums and our guitarist doesn't need to play at ear bleed levels. It may be a moot point if you don't like the tone.Played a rumble today and wasn't massively impressed by the tone, but the weight and volume was pretty incredible.
Seems like there's a lot of good choices out there. I'm leaning towards the Ampeg currently.
Thats my amp and I love it. Problem is your not likely to find one in AustraliaI'll second the Carvin suggestion...
I've been using my MB15 as my stage monitor, with the signal going to the house through the amps built-in DI. Works great, sounds great, dependable, American made and affordable--

If you can score a used Genz Benz 3.0-10T - 19 pounds, 1-10", 175 watts, great DI.
