That being the case, could you answer a question posed with all due respect? Because I'm really quite curious, and this is perhaps an opportunity for frankness.

Are you still in school? And if so, are you aware (and/or do you care about the fact) that your communications skirt the boundaries of literacy? Seriously, no disrespect here: I just want to understand. :help:

Your postings have yet to end a sentence in a period. Commas are also absent. Crucial words such as "luthier" and "manufacturer" are misspelled, despite the intercessions of autocorrect.

It is, in short, extremely difficult to understand you. In fact, I still don't know what you mean by companies "that have good basses maybe even so pictures".

I'd speculate that this is a texting-based approach to communication, but I text a lot myself. And there's a line between brevity and comprehensibility. Without putting you on the defensive, because that's really not my intention, could you comment on this, and perhaps provide me with a context? Thanks. :cool:

Yes I am out of high school i also could not hear till I 3 because I had ear probs I had tubes put in and out of my ears till I was 6 it set me back I have a very big vocabulary when it comes to talking but I am not the best writer and I do find ur post a little bit demeaning but I am not mad

I guess I could go ahead and contribute on topic. How about Bud LeCompte? I think he's still building basses, but isn't taking custom orders right now. This is my VB5 - the craftsmanship is superb, and the Aguilar OBP-3 and Nordstrand dual coils put out monster tone. The body is African mahogany with birdseye maple top over a Peruvian walnut tone plate. The neck is maple with a macassar ebony fretboard. So the bass has wood from four continents in its construction.

Haven't had any experience at all with his solid bodies as of yet, but Andrew Drake's hollow bodies absolutely ROCK. His workmanship is all by hand and immaculate. Here is Wilma:
