Smoking bans in US

People also don't realize that once the sugar habit is broken, it generally (usually) looses all its appeal. I grew up on sugar just like everyone else in the U.S. When I learned what it was doing to me I cut it out. I now have absolutely no sugar cravings whatsoever. Taco Bell cravings, yes. Sugar, no. And yes I know there's sugar in Taco Bell... But I don't eat it nearly as frequently as I used to. Maybe twice a month :). OK. 3 times.

Quality of life is important. To me anyhow. I don't want to spend the last 20 years of my life eating bowls full of medication 3 times a day, and not being able to do the things I want to and enjoying my existence. Science can keep people breathing for very long periods of time. At least until they suck their life savings (and then some) out of them.

My goal is to live long and healthy, and hopefully die fast.

Eating right is easy. Not so dying at just the the right time.

Saving a couple of dollars a week to be able to hire a hit man on my 99th birthday.

If you're planning to live to 99, you'll need one of these.

You will never get a hard core Nanny to admit they want to legislate morality.

Because most don't.

No one I know wants drugs to remain illegal, and they are all perfectly happy to restrict smoking in public.

Most want labeling and better policing of additives and practices like using salt and sugar to mask the poor quality of industrial food, etc.

You're just making stuff up about some caricature of who you think supports different laws and regulations.

Like school food- should schools really be allowed to serve pure garbage to kids? Is nothing more important than pure profit for gigantic agricultural/-alimentary combines who pour fortunes into supporting or sur pressing legislation that the majority of citizens support or want removed?

1) Supermarket processed food already has these labels.

2) If I have a problem with my school's food I take it to my school.
