All you drug/alcohol users out there. Maybe if you didn't waste your money watching it go up in smoke or flushed down the toilet you could buy some decent gear. Just sayin.
Really Dude? I have great gear and "I'll smoke an ounce to that"

IIRC your PA leaves alot to be desired.BTW I do know what I'm talking about I use to have drug/alcohol problem. Been sober for 15 years. It is amazing how much extra money I have now that it isn't being wasted on drugs/alcohol.

Montana. Just sayin.
Not at all. I love my PA, and it serves me well. Never been in a situation where it wasnt enough. Just because it may not be enough for you does not mean it is inadequate for others.
Actually, Ive hardly spent much money on my nonproblematic herb habit.
Honestly, if one were to hand me $1000, or even $10,000, there are a lot of things Id spend that money on, however gear would be the last of them. I like my gear.
Well we can't all live in the paradise that is reality.
Actually, it's been proven to help with pain, nausea, stress, appetite, insomnia, and other negative symptoms. I'd link you some citations but you likely wouldn't read them.
Marijuana and alcohol are pretty different. One is the REAL gateway drug, has negative short and long term effects, is addictive (so much to the point that being addicted to it is recognized as a medical condition and a disease), and is legal. None of this is true for the other one, and it is illegal. Go figureIt probably has nothing to do with the fact that the production and distribution of alcohol is much easier to control, tax, and profit from for the government.
If you don't like it, that's fine. You're also well within your rights to demand people do not use it in your presence. Completely understandable. But don't sit there and act like it is some life ending, immature practice when you actually drink alcohol.
Whatever. That is the nice thing about pot it makes things that sound bad sound better.IIRC you stated earlier in this thread that you smoke dope everyday. Maybe it is affecting your memory.

Problem is that pot has been linked to paranoia, schizophrenia, mood swings, and nervous tremors among other things.
serious brain damage

WHAAAAAAAT??????!!!!
uh.. no.
if ANYTHING pot will make you MUCH MORE aware of when things suck. I can sit threw a halfassed band way easier totally straight than buzzed.. I absolutely get driven nuts by musical flaws when Ive smoked. Its all about flow and right timing, otherwise TOTAL BUZZ KILL!!
Triggering latent existing conditions as opposed to "causing"
...and it's never been linked to "serious brain damage" at all.

Cerebral atrophy (loss of cells) in young males: Invalid Link Removed
The Lancet disagrees.
Unlike Campbell et al, we did not find evidence of cerebral atrophy in young cannabis users. The 12 cannabis users were rated blindly together with 34 matched controls and judged to have normal CTT scans. Using the V/B index, all records were
within normal limits .
This study differed from that of Campbell et al in several respects. We employed CTT while Campbell and associates used pneumoencephalography. Secondly, most of Campbell's subjects had neurological or intellectual impairment, whereas our subjects did not.
Analyses were performed on brain MRI scans from individuals who were frequent cannabis users (N = 10; 9 males, 1 female, mean age 21.1 ± 2.9, range: 1827) in adolescence and similar age and sex matched young adults who never used cannabis (N = 10; 9 males, 1 female, mean age of 23.0 ± 4.4, range: 1730). Cerebral atrophy and white matter integrity were determined using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to quantify the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and the fractional anisotropy (FA). Whole brain volumes, lateral ventricular volumes, and gray matter volumes of the amygdala-hippocampal complex, superior temporal gyrus, and entire temporal lobes (excluding the amygdala-hippocampal complex) were also measured. While differences existed between groups, no pattern consistent with evidence of cerebral atrophy or loss of white matter integrity was detected. It is concluded that frequent cannabis use is unlikely to be neurotoxic to the normal developing adolescent brain.

The Lancet disagrees.
1. I'm not familiar with this website, but it looks to indicate that this article was published in 1971?
2. Evidence of cerebral atrophy was demonstrated by air encephalography in ten patients with histories of consistent cannabis smoking over a period of 3-11 years. The average age of the patients was 22 years; all were males. Amphetamines and lysergide (L.S.D.) had also been taken, but in much smaller amounts. Measurements of the lateral and third ventricles were significantly different from those in thirteen controls of a similar age-group.
Who knows what a "smaller amount" of LSD is. If they were smoking 7 times a week, were they dropping acid once a week? I'm sorry, but if you are an undeveloped teenager, the fact that acid is going to cause brain damage is not breaking news. This link really proves nothing given the current conversation.
Edit: Previous poster beat me to it. Article is 40 years old and the subjects had brain impairment AND were on acid.
Or maybe you just dont know what youre talking about. Herb has made me more money, legally according to Ca law, than Ive spent on it. My memory is actually quite sharp, thank you. Your personal attacks reek of arrogance and ignorance.
