IMO Tempera's are very similar to Velvet Compas 180 pizz and even more responsive arco. That's why I'm here ;-)

Are you aware of a string that has a similar pizz response to give us a frame of reference?
That sounds good for me because EPs are very dark and dull on my bass. Tonally, well broken-in Spiros are just about perfect so maybe the Temperas are an option.G and D are a bit thicker than EPW and E and A are slightly thinner. Very nice gauge but much brighter than any version of Evah Pirazzis.
Velvet Animas and Compass 180 had similarities in sound but Temperas feel more like a steel string but with a nice low tension but still with right amount of stiffness. Maybe Zyex lights with more colours in the sound come to my mind. They are easy and comfortable to play.
If I would change from Perpetuals to Temperas, do you think I need more string height? Do they buzz more easily on the fingerboard?
