My wife gave me a $300 Warmoth gift certificate. I already bought a body (2 months ago), now I can get the neck.

That is a pretty phenomenal gift. Kudos to her for think way outside the box.
My wonderful wife bought me an Ampeg Heritage 410 with cool sparkle cloth to go with my V-4BH head. Nice. And yes, I am worth it.

My wonderful wife and teenage son surprised me with a 93 custom shop precision pj in single coat candy apple red and birds eye maple. I absolutely loved it when it showed up at a local shop, but didn’t need it. Somehow I cannot believe I was this nice in 2017.
Son also got some drum gear, including a double kick pedal, so we had a nice jam. The best.

After using my guitar amp for 5months (since I started), Santa Clause finally gave me a bass combo amp.
For me, it sounds better than Laney, Marshall and Ashdown that I tried (All 20watts). Since it was on 50% discount, it was a no brainer for me. I'm very happy with it. Except when I'm carrying it! I can't believe it weigths 12kg!

Wife got me a new looping pedal (came with a box and everything!) and a midi controller. Now I have to figure out how to work them both.
I got myself the same looper. LOVE the layering on it. (oh and a new G&L JB5 in Empress!) and LOTS of sh!t for it!!!

I bought myself a Taylor travel bass.
It’s got some loose strings but it sounds good plugged in or not. It would compete with a parlor guitar acoustically but might get washed out by several.
I got it for travel, campfire and couch jamming. To keep my chops somewhat up even when I’m stuck in cramped places and so I don’t have to quit playing when I travel for work or with the family.
I actually really like it. About three or four play sessions in I got the hang of the scale and string tension. It’s a comfortable guitar to sit back with.

It has hybrid nylon/bronze strings, and I believe they are the only strings you are supposed to use on that bass.
They do feel loose, but they also sound great. Congrats!

Yeah, I’ll have to buy a surplus just in case.
I know goldtone has a flat and round/nylon string for this scale but I’m not sure if they work.
Thanks! I like it. I havent owned an acoustic for a couple years so it’s nice to be able practice anywhere.
