Never heard of it until this post. But then again, I don't care much for pedals. I own a Boss pedalboard that hardly sees the light of day (I use it for covers that call for a specific effect, and its compressor is decent).

When I started lurking around these parts, the VT was all the rage. So much that in the end, I found it annoying to hear about it all the time.
"Want dirt ?" Get a VT !
"Want grit?" Get a VT !
"Want funk ?" Get a VT !
"Want to get laid ?" Get a VT, for chrisssakes !
And it got worst (IMO) when the Deluxe version came out. So I ended up sorta hating it, basically 'cause it was a fad (I have an eternal thing for the underdog, what can I say...).
I still go against all fads (...). Nothing against the faddish pedals per se. It's.... visceral, I guess. I have a PBDDI, if it ever dies, I might give the VT a run, just because it's a Tech21 product.
If you guys stop talking about it, I might eventually buy one.
