So who does NOT have a VT Bass?

Its a good pedal if thats what you are looking for. But Im thinking of getting rid of mine. I have and used to use the BDDI for years. I got the VT a few months ago thinking it was going to be the end all for me. Then I got the B7K. Yeah, the VT didnt/doesnt get much use any longer. I dug it a lot when I first got it but its not something I'd miss if I didnt have it anymore. I never used it for dirt, just tone shaping. I cant stand the speaker emulator on it, so its always been off. Im thinking of selling it. I could use the money for something else

I don't have one. I'm not really a "grit" guy. I'm either all out fuzz or clean. But I think they sound good for what they are supposed to be.

When I play with a terrible amp (which has been happening a lot) my VT Bass makes it right.

It stays off when I'm using an amp I like.

I have the Behringer knock-off. I like it on it's own, but hate how it tames down/scoops the hell out of my always-on wall of fuzz/od/naughty smutty dirt.

I had one for about a week and dumped it when I realized it was hard to dial the settings. Not too hard to find a good one but very difficult to come back to a setting that you like... not so good for knob twiddlers.

I bought a Hartke VXL from a major national electronics store because I got a $50 gift card from there for Christmas last year. Plus I like the sound of the other Hartke products I've owned. I was looking for a decent preamp/DI to go direct to the board at church. I've not been disappointed with the VXL. Maybe one day, if and when it dies, I may try the DI version of the VT.

I had a VT Bass Deluxe as a preamp for a couple months. I have sold it though and haven't looked back... Did get a Sansamp RPM preamp though which is WAY better for my purposes... Another preamp is catching my attention though, which may lead to me getting the V2 of the pedal

I think other pedals sound better, but for my wedding gigs i think the VT will be just the thing to grit up my clean markbass for certain tunes... while keeping the beef in all the acoustically challenged rooms i seem to find myself in.

I tried one in a shop and couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Didn't sound that good to me.

Had one. Great little pedal when you figured out how to use it. Easy to make sound bad, but not at all difficult to make sound good. Just took a little patience.
