So, WHY does Chancellor use a CE-5?

Yeah... I knew that some guys probably made typos while typing so fast.

I'm sure everyone who used a B after CE meant the CEB-3 and not CEB-5 cause that doesn't exist. (anno 2009, AFAIK)

so for future reference when someone is searching the forum with keywords.

CE-1 or CE1 labelled as Chorus Ensemble (also has vibrato, about the same circuit as in the JC-120 guitaramp)
CE-2 or CE2 labelled as Chorus
CE-3 or CE3 labelled as Chorus
CH-1 or CH1 labelled as Super Chorus
CE-5 or CE5 labelled as Chorus Ensemble
CE-2B or CE2B labelled as Bass Chorus
CEB-3 or CEB3 labelled as Bass Chorus
CE-20 or CE20 labelled as Chorus Ensemble ... Twinpedal series of BOSS (contains multiple modelled chorusses, lots of features)


Heck... BOSS chorus pedals deserve their own thread me thinks. :)

And yes, "find my own sound" and all that. This has nothing to do with my own sound, my rig is much different. This is just a question regarding his.

Pretty much he said in the interview you read he likes the BF-2.
Why did you get kinda bent when someone said maybe he likes it?

I had one for a while.
Didn't like it.
I have the Bass Chorus (Boss, don't know the model off hand) I like it.
Sounds nice.
I like he TC Electronics Chorus/Flanger a lot better, just haven't picked one up. Yet.

I bought a Boss CE-2 for bass when I was young because I like the sound of it & they didn't make pedals for bass back then. Later I bought a Boss CEB-3 which I had for years but sold it when I thought I was giving up music. I just started playing & writing again last year I dug out a Boss CE-5 that someone left at my house 10 years ago but I never used. I hooked it up with my bass & it sounds great. Now that I know Justin of Tool & Simon of The Cure use CE-5's I'll never 2nd guess selling my Bass Chorus again. I use my CE-2 for guitar now. Josh of RHCP uses 2 CE-2's in his pedalboard so I'm in good company. I wonder what kind of Chorus pedal Duff McKagen used.

Duff used an old Yamaha rack unit for his chorus.
