i picked this up from Dave this afternoon and after an agonizing 4 hour visit with my in-laws, i am finally left alone to play with my new bass 
what a difference over the old thumper i was playing on...
the first thing my wife had to say was "wow... I actually don't mind hearing you practice on that one."
this thing just sings under a bow, has a wonderfully clear resonant pizz tone, and is very easy playing. i could not be happier with it

Glad you are like playing the bass. It only gets better the more you do it. Sorry I can't say the same for the inlaw visits.
A couple of things I've found to help there:
1. find a shop you can get away and visit while your in the area
2. alcohol.

I've sold the bass and solved the problem of visiting inlaws. My work here is done.
