I'm actually a novice as a gigging bassist and have only played about a dozen gigs since my first one in August 2019 before getting shut down because of the pandemic. So I don't have a lot of pictures, but here's one from my first gig (actually, my avatar picture is from the same show).
I had no opportunity to hide in the back and get used to playing in front of people. Our singer/BL has me doing my share of vocals so she puts me up front with her. Nothing like starting out by jumping into the deep end - and without even sticking your toe in to see how cold the water is first.
It was pretty tough having to stop so suddenly so soon after I finally got started. I miss playing out and miss having fun with my bandmates. Can't wait to finally be able finally be able to start back up, whenever that is.

Not much going on for indoor gigs and outside is just too snowy right now, so might as well remember some gigs from a few years ago.
About two years ago, retirement party for the lady in the middle. She is now our newest member/singer and cajon.

A friend sent this one to me, it's from June 2019. She captioned it "Look at those two old Pretend Rock Stars with Jane!"
Chebucto Big Band plays at the annual Halifax Bridge Walk where one of the two bridges across the harbour is closed and people can just stroll back and forth across it.
There was a band at each end and some Dixieland guys strolling around. I have played many, many odd places in my musical career. This was my very first toll plaza!
