Something brewing at MarkBass.it

Support for what? That makes no sense, anything you buy has a warranty period, I also live in Australia where we have great consumer laws. Not to mention there are plenty of techs around servicing amps that have been discontinued for decades lol :/
It's the servicing of amps built within the last 10-15 years that most techs seem to struggle with. They can't handle component level diagnostics and servicing.

What the heck is going on in this thread? Can we talk about the announcement of this new gear from Markbass please?

Specifically, I can't find any information on availability of the new 112s (MB58R I think). Does anybody happen to know? Perhaps someone who watched the apparent atrocity of a live stream could chime in.

Marco replied to my inquiry regarding availability of the 103. He stated September 2022. I wonder if that is ETA for all?

Wow, what a huge variety of new cabs! I’m trying to figure out the critical variations. I can’t imagine it will be cost effective to continue all of these products - likely seeing what sticks.

They discontinued the Classic 2x15 again? I thought they just brought that back, but with the yellow speakers. What do y'all have against 2x15s!?

Oh well, I'll just keep enjoying my older version. :)

I was super excited about these for a few days but it turns out the lightest 1x12 cab is only a few lbs lighter than my Aguilar SL112 which has been my favorite bass cabinet ever. If they got the weight down to 19lb or lighter I might be tempted but at 21lbs it's not enough difference.
Hmmm, a few lbs lighter, 400 RMS vs only 250 RMS for the Aggie and likely about $250 LESS than the Aggie. I see a strong case for including these cabs in any conversation about light weight/high performance cabinets.
Now, you already own the Aggies so, I agree that it probably doesn't make sense for you to sell them and take the $$$ hit.

The 400w vs 250w is meaningless to me since my bass amp puts out 250w at 8ohm. When I need more, I use 2 cabs for 500w. And i'd be willing to trade off tone for weight but the difference is relatively insignificant. If they could get the weight down to 19lb or less, I'd be interested. Thus far, I have not liked any of the markbass cabs when I've played them next to the aggies...

But I agree that if you don't have any light cabs, these cabs should be in the conversation.
