Elaborate/pointless internet hoaxes happen. If he is dead, it sucks harsh, if he isn't, I'm not surprized.

At a certain drum forum, a member named Hotdrumchick posted on the board that she had cancer and that she was dying and such...and then admitted that she was lying. Just for kicks the admin traced the IP to an office building in the US, specifically to an employee named Brad. Ever met a chick named Brad?

Maybe he's dead, which would suck, or maybe he just wanted some attention.

I mean no disrespect for the dead, but this kind of thing isn't that uncommon. I'm not trying to stir up sh*t, but it might be worth looking into some more :hmm:

See, that is what I was thinking. Maybe someone was doing an elaborate sham, which I really hope is happening. It just doesn't seem right that he would do that. Maybe his wife told him to leave TB, or leave the bass. I dunno. Maybe he left on a honeymoon, and someone broke his account and changed passwords or something. Who knows. But if he really did commit suicide, I really think we have lost a great contributor to our community. But either way, we have.

my friend died 4 years back... i used to communicate with him via aim... several times his SN popped up even though I’ve been to his grave site:/

after a while i finally got aim back.. it was his bro with his pc... reason for him login in was well at 1st it was just using his pc but after a while few people didn’t know that he died so he kinda explained to people on his list who aimed that it happen (heart failure at age of 24.... great guy... miss the fella:/)

I have weird feeling in my cousin's house too... it feels like he is going to walk through the door and call me a dork every time i am at his house with nephews ...its weird how that feeling did not go away... still talk about him like he is around:/
It was weird after few weeks after his death... stressed out taken care of his nephew in the hospital... driving around on rare occasion when i was out of hospital... they live few blocks from me and i seen him all the time driving and always honked... for month seen car that looked like that i would get happy and think of honking then it hits me...

so i dont think its unusual... cuz one can hope for the best:/

still want to go insane when seeing what kind of people are allowed to drive... WHY!....

I want a ciggie now:/

or not. if it is true that this is a stunt, then it's a sick and pathetic call for attention - faking one's "internet" suicide is pretty pathetic. go buy a friend in the bargain bin.

if it isn't true and he really did commit suicide, then strangers attempting to find something out by contacting the family (don't know of any other way to be sure) would be incredibly callous and uncaring.

So we're kinda stuck, huh? I hate the idea of just accepting something without checking the facts first.

I never knew the guy, and when the thread came 'round with his brother talking about offing himself, I stayed out of the way of the people that did because I wasn't all that interested in getting involved. Damnit, I'm curious now as to whether it's really happened or not.

well, someone could call and just ask for him. I mean, we really don't know. So that will be the best way to find out. You don't have to ask about it, just ask to speak with him.

sorry to get in this, even though i never knew the guy...

but what if he was dead, you asked for him, the person that answered goes through a breakdown and then more things start up.
