You can argue all you want, but this whole attitude of "I'm OK you're OK" got crap like this started. Everyone wants to push the envelope on what is now acceptable behavior right up until it crosses the line that offends THEM. So, you may be OK with public nudity, tattoos on the face, porn everywhere, violence on TV and movies to the point of pure ridiculousness, but suddenly you get offended when something like this happens. If the lines of "normal" had not been blurred decades ago, something like this would not even be conceivable today. Nobody would DARE try this. But these days, anything goes to a point. So I am no longer surprised by what I see. Sickened, but not surprised. My girls will grow up understanding that there IS such a thing a right and wrong. And anyone who doesn't agree will not be allowed around my house.

I don't include anything like homosexuality or interracial relationships in my list of "wrong" behavior, so don't jump on me assuming I am racist or sexist. But there ARE things that should NOT be tolerated. And those things are nowhere near as offensive as killing animals for fun. My point is, if THOSE OTHER things had not been allowed to thrive up until now, things like this would be so far out in left field that nobody would dare try them.

Allow some pet owners to stomp on this woman until the is gone. Better yet, make it a pack of little girls so it takes longer.

100% agreed. No specific individuals or groups should decide where the lines should be, but I believe that "anything goes" helps lead to things like this.

You're saying that tattoos were a slippery slope to animal abuse for kink purposes? Europe has always been quite less prudish than America when it comes to public nudity, and they certainly haven't openly embraced stomping on cats.

Well, I wouldn't say that necessarily. There are some laws that really are about contractual relationships and other similar things. Regardless of how ethical people were, it would still be difficult to navigate the world without those types of laws.

We have laws to uphold the majority's standards of what is "right". On 90% of moral debates you will usually find a consensus on what is considered lawful.

It IS sad that, on the subject of crushing a practically helpless living being for entertainment, we don't have 100% of the population on board with making that a punishable offense.

Tis a sad commentary on society as we know it. If these individuals are capable of doing this to animals, what are they capable of doing to humans? And if our Judicial System can't see the crime here, they are just as guilty as the perpetrators and should be ashamed of themselves.
