Lord knows there are a ton about New Orleans. One of my favorites is really about the train named after the city.

This was actually written by a distant cousin on my dad's side of the family. His mom's maiden name was Guthrie.

"summertime in northern Michigan" the video looks like Torch Lake which is a popular summer party spot. Right in my home area. Am told he has a place up here too. The state made all vehicle owners replace the solid blue plate like shown in the video, but I still have the solid blue on my trailers.

Beach Boys - Salt Lake City

Title says it all. They even throw in a reference to the amusement park in my hometown, Lagoon. Unfortunately the park stopped having live music before I was born but a lot of major acts played there. They have a plaque in the park listing the artists who came through and it includes people like the Rolling Stones, the Doors, Beach Boys (obviously) Hendrix, etc.

No shortage of California references out there... but the "all over La Jolla" line in Surfin' USA always hits especially close to home.

I grew up in Dana Point/So. Laguna/Niguel. The song mentions San Onofre and Doheny, both nearby. After the jetty was built for Dana Point Harbor, it stopped being "Killer Doheny". And San Onofre is a nuclear plant. Not much to sing about now if you ask me.

I tried to remember some, but there's a dearth of songs about anywhere within Orange County. Probably with good reason.
