Sounds like its cutting out

When i turn on my amp it makes a fuzzy constant noise and sounds like it has less output then it did before.

As i play my bass it sounds like it kinda farts out like its losing power like the battery's about to die.

I checked the battery and its pretty new still.

To me, it sounds like a faulty wire in either the head, cab, or bass. Where do i start, how do i figure out where the problem is?

Elimination by substitution may help. Start by trying another cable. If no change put original back on and try another bass if possible. This should narrow it down to the bass, the cable or the amp
