We are trying to be lots of things to lots of people, but we do need to be careful about this at times. Here are some thoughts:
Hot Hand One: Built like a tank. Unusual design. Really expensive to build.
Soundblox 1: Great sounds, but we were crucified for being big and plastic.
Soundblox Pro: 6 Presets, EQ, MIDI, Expression in. But, big, plastic, and scared off too many people with the design. We did not sell enough to stay in that format exclusively. We will continue to make these, and we still ship lots of BEF Pros.
Soundblox 2: Lots of previous problems addressed, but the design is still off-putting for too many. We are still committed to making these, as they are Neuro compatible and for those who can deal with the complex knobs.....they are great pedals.
One Series: Most of the Soundblox 2 performance in a smaller more traditional package.
If I were comfortable with the SB2 line, then I would buy an OFD rather than the Aftershock. It has all of what you need on the top panel. If I never bought the OFD because I did not like the design, then I would get the Aftershock.
One thing that is blowing my mind: people who see the Kingmaker and the Aftershock housing think those pedals sound better than the OFD. Not, I am an engineer and I always thought these things could not happen. Well, I was wrong!!
Ant that is why we need to have both SB2 and One Series in our product offering.
