Here's a question to the fellow C4 wizards:
I have a fairly basic synth set up:
1. A sine wave that's completely unaltered
2. A second, identical sine wave that has a distortion on it and an envelope that opens up slowly.
It's a nice setup for playing ragga/dancehall/dub, when you let the notes ring for a bit.
When I play, I sometimes manage to get the input to glitch, which results in a wobble that comes across like a dubstep sound. I'd like to incorporate that into the playing, but I cannot faithfully reproduce it. I think it has to do with the tracking, when you let a note fade out and there is a second note ringing and the pedal can't decide wich note to go with, so it jumps back and forth, but I'm not entirely sure.
Has anyone here managed to use that glitch?

was hoping more folks would reply to this. Just got one yesterday, ended up loading a few off the most popular list. This pedal is going to take up a lot of time haha. Looking forward to using it at practice tonight.

My six favorite keep changing as I add more to my library of either my own creations or ones that I rip from the Neuro Cloud. I've almost filled mine up.
I got another kinda funky problem here with the c4 and dmc micro pro. I’m trying to use my Dunlop dvp4 as the controller routed with a TRS cable to the dmc expression jack . While it does control the pedal and preset, there’s a pretty wicked delay between the movement of my foot Snd the change in sound. Is there any way to calibrate that delay out or something I’m missing to make it work as intended?

Not sure there’s anything to do on the dmc end. There is calibration on the C4, but I don’t think that does much given that the TRRS port isn’t in play over midi via usb.
I agree!!I've recently ordered the DMC micro to access the patches through midi,I found the six patches on the toggle switch limited (for me)..Thus it was kind of a pain hooking up to the laptop everytime I wanted to change my six patches..I'm looking forward to getting the micro so I can just have my 80 odd patches I have with the stomp of a switch..
Ps:Check out my presets under my name Buzzment and see what you think of them lol....I plan to make many more patches as I think I'm going to give the C4 much more attention now with getting the micro lol..
I regularly list my c4's 6 device per-sets.
Here's my current list:
1) GMC Meridian Funkulator III by yours truly, under my community name of Gazzajagman.
Control 1: -1 octaver level. Control 2: "Dry input with Dirt" level. Expression: Foot controlled quacky filter
2) OC-2 by Proton Lenny. Modded, so Control 1 is the dry level (voice 1). Control 2 is the Distortion Mix
3) GMC Pad 1 by yours truly. This is the C4 component on my recent C4 Pad thread. Cnt1: Voice 1 (dry signal) and Cnt2: is the treble control. Expression operates a foot controlled low pass filter sweep (really nice).
4) Tremolo Bass / Chopper, modded so it's makes a really useful trem patch. Cnt1: LFO speed of the trem. Cnt2: Distortion mix...everyone needs a wee bit of hair every now and then. Exp has a low pass filter.
5) QM FM Upright Bass 7b, by Quatschmacher. This is a great upright double bass thump / string slap emulator. One of my fav patches on the C4.
6) BladeRunnerBrass by Proton Lenny. Pop this through a chorus and delay...and well...it does what it says on the tin.
I have all 128 patch slots filled. I also have a Spectrum, which I really like. It's well populated and I tend to use that as a dedicated filter / funk machine.
If you are looking for a few fun patches to while away the late hours, then look up NightCrawlers, XeroD, JabbaFunk, The way you make me feel, MF-101, BitCrusher, Bling Bling, QM Foldover Micro Synth, Padas don't do porn, QM Seamoon Funk machine, QM Okto Chromatron 4, I feel Love, Uberwaves, Daft SEQ.
Anything by Proton Lenny or Quatchmacher, they are all good / great / awesome.
I regularly swap out my "classic trem" patch for "Tremolo Bass / Chopper" patch. Pop the latter through a bit of dirt and it's hello 80's sequenced synth bass.
Dunno if I have a favorite six, but now that GMC reminds me, any of Quatsmacher's upright bass patches would be on that list if I could limit it to six.
Can't quite be bothered to go and look it up right now, but @Quatschmacher did some kind of soft bouncy 70s type one. Totally reminds me of S Wonder's Too High. It's a go to.
@GMC thanks for the list! Used it for the first time last night, the blade runner brass was a hit. Will check these out this weekend time allowing. I’ve only had it a few days and am now regretting not making the jump when I first got interested.
I really like one called "808 Kick Bass" by tay86. A solid basic 808. As with all patches, check your levels when you first load it in to protect your ears/speakers.
I went through C4 parameter settings with Neuro app to quite some extent and one thing I don’t completely understand is square wave tracking at 0 octave, i.e. no octave down or up. At these settings with mu setup (standard passive precision bass) tracking is glitchy, as random oscillation around the notes I play and is occurring randomly across whole fretboard. I tried both tracking options but there was no difference to my ears. I believe my technique is good enough, I don’t have tracking issues with my other octave pedals. Square wave at -1 octave is much better but sometimes I would need square wave at 0 octave. It only happens with square while other sound shapes are perfect. Is there some parameter that I’m missing? @rsmith601

That won’t work, you’ll need a micro ghost for the second usb device, one host for each pedal. Or you can just use the neuro cable plugged into the multi jack of the dmc as has been mentioned as a new option with the dmc.
You mean this cable?..If so I already have it...I can put the midi jack end of the ghost cable into the previous double midi adapter cable I mentioned,then into both pedals with the 2 midi jacks right?

No, the neuro cable that comes with the C4. You can configure the multi jack on the dmc to work with the C4 TRRS input using the neuro cable. Leaving the usb jack open for the meris pedal.
