I'm not very convinced that the USB 3 format is particularly stable or trust worthy. My DAW is USB powered and can get a bit unstable with a lot of USB activity.

I personally find that my Neuro hub is the least stable of my Source Audio gear. I find that my Neuro hub can lock up when it's attached to the Neuro Desktop via USB and it then receives a signal via Midi. I find that my Neuro hub is happiest with a cold reboot after attaching to the Neuro Desktop. If I flick back and forth between devices in the Neuro Desktop, my Neuro hub is the most likely to freeze up. If this happens then all of my attached devices become uncontrolled and unresponsive to midi inputs.
If I flick between my Ultrawave and C4 a lot in the Neuro Desktop, not allowing enough time for the UI and setting to stabilise, I can get lockups with either device. Sometimes when I export a patch, I get a blank export.

I use a Strymon Ojai PSU and I've had a few issues with power up compatibility, particularly with the EQ2 when using the 5 pin Midi Din ports. The C4 has quite a large power requirement when it is first powered up from a cold start. The Strymon PSU like to ramp up the power as a slow power up and can starve the power feeds. The later Firmware patches from SA address a lot of these issues. I also find that SA pedals in general like isolated and high current power feeds. They maybe small in size, but they are DSP power stations!

Fair point that actually, and to add to what I said above...
Another change I made around the same time was to remove my neuro hub from the USB hub that's also in my pedalboard. I'm only using it to get a midi input into the C4, so there's no everyday benefit to having it always plugged into a host.
Maybe it's related but I don't know.
For info, I'm using one of these hubs and not had any issues (at least since I sorted the 1st issue I mentioned above).

In regards to what I was asking about using the DMC for midi,(still waiting to receive it)..I want to connect 3 Pedals to it for midi .The C4 and Raster as I've mentioned..but I want to add the Meris Polymoon to it too..Will I need a Trs double adapter to plug into the Micro for this ?(The Polymoon has a Trs jack for midi...

May be best to get a 5-pin to trs cable to use with the Meris. Disaster Area makes one.

USB out to the Red Panda
TRS out to TRRS SA cable for C4
5-pin out to TRS for Meris

Oh yes I forgot about the 5 pin port on the Micro!!Cheers...By the way,Did I read somewhere when using the usb with the ghost cable you have to connect them a certain way,as in the adaptor side into the Micro or Vica Versa?

Ghost adapter into the micro. Cable from there to the usb device being controlled

I was noting that creating an updated hardware design to address the shortcomings is relatively easy compared to what has already been created by us and the community. Jesse and I have actually been working on this for the last year already.
With that said, the new hardware will not be as small and it will not be at the same price point. I think there will be a place for both. Small and simple vs a bit larger and more on-board stuff.

Is there any news on when the C4 XL will be released, or any teasers?! NAMM in June?

I doubt a pitch shift pedal would be a surprise release from Source Audio. If they were to ever do one I suspect they will want community input during development like with the Ventris, C4 and Ultrawave.
