It's here. Oh lord, it's here.
First order of business was get the Neuro Desktop editor connected, which was no problem since, rather magically, the DMC-8 arrived the same day and included a data-type mini USB cable. Then, figuring out why certain things wouldn't move when clicked in the editor, discovering their "parent" controllers, auditing and burning patches, tweaking those patches and saving to my personal cloud (and re-burning for good measure just to be 100% sure)....... I'm in business!!
Early notes: my Ibanez Cerro SRSC805's passive mode is low-output so I have to pluck hard for gated fuzz and really yam on it to get the envelope filter to pop even with settings cranked. Grabbing a pick made it start wailing

& getting some signal boost is a tiny, easily solvable issue that affects only one bass. The envelope filter sounds so killer, too. (FWIW, that was playing with @Proton Lenny 's Pony & BubblyTron patches, which I figured would set the bar for the quality of preset build when auditioning community contributions)
I haven't even connected the DMC-8 yet. It looks like it can use a firmware upgrade, then I should have enough time tonight to spend time in its manual and get a test connection going.
I was going to get a gHost cable kit from the DA site, but got shipping label shock (a $9.99 sale kit, but plus $8 shipping for a nearly flat envelope? I backed up), and instead ordered a USB cable, mini-B male to mini-B male, off eBay. It was from a seller that seems to focus on data cables so should work, but I'll find out.
