I think the cheapest standalone MIDI controller you’ll find (that doesn’t require a separate USB-Host or Source Neuro Hub) is the DMC Micro ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed])what other midi switchers have people used with the c4? something cheap perhaps
That's what I'm going with. Should be here tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll have it up and running for Friday's gig but will be using starting next week for sure.
has anyone found a mini b to mini b chord that works with the dmc micro? trying to find something for my board that doesnt have a ton of length

dumb question,
if youre using the dmc micro, and you unplug it to plug ur c4 into computer, then re plug it back in to the micro do you have to set it up again everytime?

one more stupid ? are the app and desktop linked? stuff I save either place will be in the other placE?
The phone app sends one way commands. So you can load presets, edit, and save stuff to the C4. Editor is bi-directional and does it all. So the only thing they "share," in terms of data, is the recall of stored presets on the pedal itself.
so if i save a preset to my library on my phone, when I go to my computer its not there? I like to look at them during lunch and save stuff that may be fun the try
So you have a 6 string Modulous in your avatar and you have a C4...and you want to go cheap....hmmmm....taxis! It's more about doing it right. First up...you'll need a hub. If you are delving in the world of midi control then you will buy other midi pedals in the future. So now is the time to plan with expansion in mind. I now have 6 midi pedals, a midi splitter and my expression / volume pedal over midi and it's all controlled by my Boss ES-5.what other midi switchers have people used with the c4? something cheap perhaps
Highly unlikely given that Source Audio is a small company (making big products) and that the owner is very present here on this very thread and he's already given us a fairly clear indication of where he sees the development road map going. The Spectrum / C4, the Collider are big hitters this year. The EQ-2 is about to land...and later in the year is a hinted at fold-over distortion box of tricks. Then there's the possibility of some kind of simpler midi expression pedal to replace the dearly missed Reflex....but that's all speculation!
Sorry Drew I haven't used the phone app in quite a while. It's actually mainly cloud stuff (your Library and Community Presets) and you can edit patches on it as well. I don't think you can load presets from the pedal itself unless you dupe them to your library. Someone correct me if I am wrong here.

Yeah I think I get your question: if you save a preset to your cloud library from the phone, will it show up on the cloud library of the desktop app and vice versa. Interestingly enough, seems as though if I save a preset to my cloud library from the desktop, it shows up on the phone. If I save it to the library from the phone, I can't see it on the desktop cloud library. Odd behavior... especially if I delete a preset from the phone, it deletes on the desktop!
Lol relax, and focus on solutions. If they included a USB cable, half of them would get thrown away because the users needed a different connection. Include adapters for all possible connection types? The pedal would have to be $289, not $239. Bigger box and pricier to ship, so maybe $299. We're better off sourcing the parts we need, and so is the environment.
See above where I linked exactly the cable you asked about. It's cheap and ships fast. Next, get on shopping sites and look for some Disaster Area controllers as good choices that plug directly via USB MIDI. 3rd-Gen ones specifically. I found a sweet deal on a DMC-8 and you'll find a DMC.micro at a good price soon enough.
So I got the desk top app installed and started digging. I love the endless options and ability to tweak.
My problem now is, the pedal seems really "glitchy". I.e. When using the phone app, if I make any adjustments to the envelope filter and then change the shape of the sound wave, the sound glitches and turns on permanently. I have to unplug the pedal to get it to stop. The output/effects volume/mix doesn't seem very responsive either. The tracking on certain presets seems really sluggish. For example, I burned @Proton Lenny s pony patch and one of the chameleon patches and they sound great but they drop notes À LOT. I am making sure my plucking is consistent and I have tried it with the compressor on and off, still the same thing. Maybe this is my own ignorance and I need to just learn how to use it better, but it has been rather difficult and frustrating (lots of unplugging to force it to turn off, the pedal not responding like I would expect it to, etc).
Is this user error? If I need to just work with it more to understand it, please let me know, if there is something else I need to do, please let me know!
