source audio c4

I'm not sure off the top of my head. I have 20 saved to the pedal so far and I was just scrolling through them with a dmc.micro until I found something that sounded good in a spot. I'll match them up and post which ones they were when I get a chance.

For the small One Series (C4, Spectrum, Mercury, Aftershock etc) it Looks like through the hub which kinda negates much of the value of it... One Series that have a midi in could work.

Have you scoped the SA Soleman? it is a feature rich midi controller...

Yes. The only MIDI controllers that connect directly to the C4 are from Disaster Area Designs. Those things have a USB "HOST" port on them.

Discovered today why I can't access my library on my phone, Iphone 7. Seems there's an ios bug that the devs are working on. Guess I'll be dragging my laptop to my gigs for a while until this gets ironed out. A pain, but worth it I guess to access the goodness thats inside this little magic box.

Ahhh yes I have been on the line with Dave as well on this one. I can access my library from the phone but if I add any presets to my library from iOS, they don't show up on the desktop. Glad they are working on it!

So, being a cheap old geezer, I'm looking for an AFFORDABLE way to control my C4 and my HX Stomp. Would the Neuro Hub work for this, using an ipad or iphone? I was using the midipad pro app for the HX Stomp and that worked well. Would linking the hub to my ipad allow me to switch presets on both simultaneously? Say, pull up a GK amp on the stomp and also load an OC2 on the C4 via my ipad ? Thanks in advance for your help, whomever you may be!

I would think the most affordable and smallest would be the Disaster Area Designs DMC.micro

The DMC.micro does midi and midihost commands, those should do fine for controlling the pedals you mentioned.
If you had older SA pedals then you would need the Neuro Hub for extended memory and midi functions.I

My "cheap" solution is using an old netbook to run Neuro Desktop for my SA C4 and Aftershock and Zoom pedals via usb midi. This way I have access to my entire library of sounds and can make edits in real time on a bigger screen using a mouse.

I used an old laptop this weekend to control the C4. It worked well, just a bit heavy and had to improvise a music stand to act as a table for it. I'd like to just use my phone or ipad, once the ios bug is fixed, to control the stomp and the c4, the only problem is getting two usb connections to the ipad. Hence me wondering about the neuro hub. $99.00 is a doable fix, IF it could control both pedals simultaneously.

Unless you are just more comfortable with using computer switching for MIDI, then I'd really recommend one of the DMC pedals. All of the 3rd Gen DMC MIDI controllers (including the Micro) will work already as a USB MIDI hub, and are pretty easy to program so that you can switch multiple pedal presets with one touch of the footswitch. Much less clunky than using a touch screen IMO. Also if you were already going thinking of buying a Neuro Hub but only have the one Source Audio pedal, it makes sense to me to just invest an extra $20 or so in the DMC Micro and you'll get not just a USB Hub to control the C4 but also a handy MIDI controller.

Indeed you can. I use the Hub for a couple different board configurations with my C4. The only difference is that I go from my iPad into my HXFX (or Stomp) first, mainly because of how I have it set up on my big board. I have a couple patches set up on my HXFX to control my C4 if/when I'm not using my iPad, so I'm already sending MIDI from the Line 6 to the Hub and it makes sense to just plug into the HXFX from my iPad.

I've never tried going into the Hub first, but in theory it should achieve the same end result. You'd just send the MIDI out from the Hub to the Stomp, and as long as the Stomp and C4 are on different channels, you should be able to easily control both. (I've never used Midipad though, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm sending commands from ForScore.) If it doesn't work to go to the Hub first, all you'd need to do is swap... Go to the Stomp first, and then send the MIDI out to the Hub. Just make sure that USB MIDI is set to ON in the Stomp's global settings. :thumbsup:

I ordered a Digitech Drop today to save me having to take a second guitar for tunes that are 2 or 3 semitones below normal tuning. Suddenly got to thinking though I wonder if the C4 can achieve the same/similar effect using the pitch shifting function? Not looking to retain any of the original note, just to use it as a pitch shifter. I'll be running the resulting tone into a fuzz/distortion so not too worried about it generating slightly distorted tones...

If you're thinking polyphonic control, the C4's poly shifter has latency to contend with, so fast strumming would take a bit of rethinking. I'll have some time today to refine my band patches & do some experimenting, so can see how this idea holds up

Thanks, I've no idea if it's possible or not, I just thought after I pulled the trigger on the Drop I wonder if I've already got something that can do this... I won't need it to be polyphonic (at least if I've understood that correctly and refers to multiple notes being played at once?!) I'll mainly be using it for tunes like No One Knows by QOTSA and hopefully avoiding having to spend a minute detuning.

Latency is what I'm most worried about though - I've read mixed reviews of The Drop, with some people saying the latency makes them unusable, and a few people swearing by them.
