Hey Source Audio Guys, the more I delve into this thing, the more satisfied I become, but in my delving I have a design question for you: Why does the EQ2's Q-factor default at 1.0 (1 1/3 octaves)? Since you've got each band's center frequency defaulting at one octave apart, wouldn't the default Q naturally be 1.4 (one octave)? I'm curious what led to choosing 1.0, which would make smaller moves in adjacent bands overlap and create cumulatively larger cuts or boosts.
It doesn't matter, cause we can set it to whatever suits us, but I wondered.
