Source Audio EQ2

EQ2 sounds so good, it has essentially become my tone stack, with presets for whatever I need. I'm now running a Noble into the FX return of my amp, bypassing its preamp and have the option now to have all EQ go through the DI, plus the broad-strokes Noble EQ if desired. Super impressed, guys.

I’m totally with you, it’s just great! And it solved my problem when switching between p-bass and rick(and wanting to use the split rick-o-sound).

+1 on the Rick-O-Sound configuration! I am looking at this EQ for use on my pedalboard in Stereo Mode (or if you prefer Dual mono) for my Series Alembic which is setup Sans Filters** on the bass (Volumes only) to EQ/Filter each pickup separately; after my Eventide, the EQ and compressor then combined to mono which the pedalboard is wired for currently then direct out to a console.

**Currently using the Alembic Superfilter (or just the amp) for EQ/Filtering.

I have an EQ2 on the way, and am primarily interested in using it st the front of my pedal chain. But I'd love to be able to use it at the end too as a HPF. Would I be able to put the rest of my pedals in the loop and use it at both the beginning and end of my chain?

There are 2 separate channels, so why not?

I had this exact same thought. EQ at the beginning, HPF and limiter at the end. So many birds with this particular stone.

My EQ2 should arrive tonight, so I wanted to encourage fellow EQ2 owners to share their favorite pre-sets on the Neuro Preset Library. I'd love to see what some of the creative users out there have come up with.

There are not a whole lot there yet, but there is a user named 66pbass that has posted some really cool presets of other preamp and EQ pedals created by running pink noise and tweaking until both graph the same in FFT.

Thanks for the tip, will check it out!

Yes, I just found those patches today and they are fantastic! Now, if we can just get someone to do the same thing with a Noble...

I put up a few of my faves for J-bass just now.

My current EQ2 project is somewhat more pedestrian or maybe utilitarian. Using the EQ2 as a replacement for a Radial Bassbone.

So far I'm using
CC 104, n, 0 to recall Preset 1
CC 104, n, 1 to recall Preset 2

Where n is the midi channel for the Eq2. Channel 2 in my case.

Presets select either Input 1 or 2, apply Input trim and Output trim adjustments for gain balancing basses with differed gains output levels, apply HPF, mimic LPF and apply some minor Eq adjustments.

For midi I'm using the Soleman Midi Macro's and sending through the Neuro Hub. The hub is not adding anything in this case. Just part of the chain. It is there to talk to other SA pedals like the C4 and Spectrum.

Working on getting the tuner going. Have some contact with SA on that as it seems in consistent. Probably pilot error...

Hmmm. I have a few preamps at my disposal. Pretty sure there is a pink noise app for the iPhone. There is an RTA in my mixer I can assign to any inout or output.

Maybe knowing what the...
Eden Enhance, GK Contour and Mesa Subway Voicing controls do would be interesting. I also have a custom RCA / Fender Twin/Showman normal channel in a project box. That is a pretty well known thing though...

I need some more free time...

This is the voicing knob, which I shot last year. I'm told it's 5 independent processes, so good luck reproducing that.
