In regards to an octaver, I would like to see a Neuro inside of an EHX POG2, midi control on the POG 2 presets!

That's all I need in addition to my SA pedals. I have a bit of a funky setup as I have an Alembic FX-1 pre and a minnie power amp. I am getting rid of my pedalboard in favor of a rack drawer. My plan is to keep my SA pedals in the rack drawer and only have the midi controller on the floor, keep everything in a 3 space rack bag (if that is enough space).

I am still stuck on what to do about floor control. I currently use a Midi mouse but I feel like I need a compact midi control with 4 presets and and up and down bank, that way I can use #'s 1-4 assigned to a specific SA pedal and turn them on/off and move up scenes for different set of sounds among the pedals...

I know... I am getting the hot foot waiting on the Solemate!!!!!!!

Having a little trouble with my hub. I can't seem to get my orbital and manta to respond to midi clock. I'm using a preset on each pedal with tap tempo engaged.

Also noticed the midi out port in "thru" mode isn't outputting most of the messages that come into the hub.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This was an issue noted a while back, as far as I know there hasn't been a proper fix yet. The Hub is the culprit, something about it not being properly able to handle too much incoming messages at once.

This is interesting as I have had a different problem with my Hub recently. I use MIDI Designer pretty extensively and I have a virtual MD knob set up to control the scenes on the Hub. This knob works. BUT when I assign it as a subcontrol to a "preset knob" in MD---so there is some other knob that when it goes to a certain value, a series of other knobs/buttons also go to certain values, including the "Hub scene" knob---then the Hub does not seem to react. My hypothesis is that the Hub can only process so many MIDI events before getting overwhelmed, so you give it a single command meant for it---it's fine. If you give it a bunch of commands in rapid succession, all of the others which are not even on its channel---it may struggle. Again, that's my working hypothesis. I'm working with Dan from MIDI Designer on a solution.

Using the MIDI Solutions Event Processor seems like overkill (both in price and my rapidly vanishing board undercarriage space) if I were to, say, put it before the Hub only in order to filter out messages on other channels. But it also seems like it would probably work.

By using the midi monitor program I'm able to see what's going in and what's coming out of the hub. Unfortunately I don't have a way to watch the output on the 1/8" TRRS ports.

Sending the hub multiple messages across multiple channels at the same time "overwhelmed" it for sure. So my only solution for now is to use some sort of filter before the hub or hope the new disaster area general midi firmware for the dmc-8d sends less messages per command.

In all honesty, putting another thing on my board just have midi tap tempo on my orbital and manta probably won't happen.

So, have you had the issue of the Hub not responding to PC changes if you sent a batch of simultaneous or near simultaneous MIDI messages? I wonder if this is a limitation of the Hub hardware or if there is a firmware fix.

I haven't had a problem with mine responding to program changes, just the midi clock. I haven't tried sending cc data to it yet. The midi "thru" however is a real issue. I can send the hub 5 messages in an event and maybe 1 or 2 will come out. So I can't use the hub to daisy chain my midi.

Can you change the order, use MIDI thru on some other device and put the Hub last? Maybe that can work better.

Well is the DMC actually generating a MIDI clock, or is it only passing a "tap" signal, like an external switch? Conceptually I think those are two different things.

External tap tempo does not work, not with my DMC-3 either. I've asked about it and it's not supported.

There are tap-to-clock pedals, like the DA SMARTclock, but I've not bothered with that (yet).
