Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Good news Source Audio. You guys should be able to easily cover the electricity bill this month.

This week......

I grabbed a BEF Pro and MWBDP.

Then I got skeered thinking that maybe I should head toward MIDI now. That cost me a Manta and and Orbital.

And I figured in order to take advantage of the gear, I'd grab an HH3. And SA put me in a defenseless position by throwing an Auto Wah in there.

Oh why not. Lets grab a double expression pedal too.

ANd all this means I had to grab a PT3, another PS..........and a loop switch, 3 cable kits, and who knows what else.

Someone throw me a number and fling a glass of water on the smoldering checkbook.

I'll circle back around and let everyone know what sticks.

I have done my very best to avoid Source Audio. I read all the stuff and still managed to avoid heading down the rabbit hole.

But, I have been helping out with the young pup band at church in addition to Sunday band. They listen to some pretty heavy CC. Lots of jagged and syrupy synth and effects. So as the token old guy, I feel it my obligation to um "bust a move". HAHAHAHAHAHA !

I suspect that the Manta, Orbital, Expression and HH3 will stick. But I wanted some time on the BEF Pro and Multi wave. The Auto Wah was all but a freebie, and we like free, so no downside there.

The whole build a big pedal board is a little intimidating. And I have to build my switcher from Road Rage.

Short answer......yeah, I clearly drank a big ol' glass of the Kool Aid.

May I have an hh3 added to my username? I've had it for two days and let me tell you, I generally NEVER have a learning curve but I had some troubles with it(with my manta). You see I assumed(dumb mistake) each time you set control to HH, you had to select a minimum and maximum mod filter point. Crazy, crazy, and occasionally frustrating noises coming out, and thinking I'm just not "getting it". Finally I read back through the manual and see how to restore factory mod settings. Sounds great and I'm loving it. Am I right in thinking you can't get the default HH sound with the manta by manual selecting the control range? Or am I bat#$×% crazy?

@rsmith601 my guitarist wants me to ask if there's a hope for the poly mod pro in sb2 format in the near future? He's been eyeing the pro but he would HAVE to get a bigger board and it's big enough lol. He is a fan of the SB2 form factor.

As a guy that has no desire to try each and every pedal out there on the market, yessir, I think that SA is doing a stellar job.

I specifically stayed away because I knew if I bought just one SA product, it would immediately lead to a significant investment.

Looking forward to all the new tools/toys !

Note to self. SB2 pedals do not like TRS cables. They wouldn't power up and freaked me out a bit. After I realized that I connected the wrong cables and swapped them out, they powered up and worked beautifully.
