Jesse, Hunter and I took the afternoon off to play a round of golf. We are all really bad, but we needed a break from the intense product development work that has been non-stop for over a year. I will respond to this tomorrow. Need to drink a couple of beers at the moment.

The first 4 One Series pedals are getting rave reviews, even before anyone plugs in the Neuro cable to their phone. It is so exciting. This aspect is going to make the Nemesis ultra-cool. Ten point five years of crazy effort.....finally....coming.....together!

So far so good. 32 presets (8 banks of 4 presets), 2 midi messages and 8 loops. Easy to program (for a newbie like me) with the help of a lenghty video explaining in detail the way it works. I'll have a first rehearsal tomorrow so I'll know a little more how intuitive it is in context. I'll keep you posted!

So, lots of work being done on Nemesis. All the basic effects have been completed. The long hard task of designing and testing the firmware is far down the road. Keep in mind that this pedal must support and work with: Hot Hand, expression pedals, MIDI, the Hub, the Neuro App, the USB software editor, MIDI over USB, etc. etc. It is really complicated at this point. The hardware is also very stable at this point. Pilot production run is set for September. If all goes well, then first units should hit the market in November. It is going to be a very cool pedal.

Hi all,

We are having a bit of a debate internally. What state do I expect my effect to come up in?

1) Always off.
2) Always on. (might be handy with an EQ to have it always on)
3) Last known state (such as what happens with a hard switch)

Any thoughts welcome.

I'm a little agnostic between (1) and (3), but other than the EQ case you mention, I really dislike (2).

Honestly, 1 is perfectly fine (and a lot of people using relay bypass pedals are used to this by now), 2 would be pretty crappy to have to deal with, 3 is what may appeal the most to the analog-true-bypass-drives-a-camaro-and-wears-a-mullet crowd.

3 also appeals to people who want to rackmount their pedals.

Always off!! Or last known state.

The boss pedals I have and the Vertigo, were annoying to always have to switch off.

However I wish my Polytune would start off.

Always off. If you've unplugged your gear and are setting it all back up, you'd expect to turn it back on. What is really annoying is if you have a pedal like a high gain distortion set to an extreme setting, and then plug that pedal in and it turns on automatically. you have no chance to stop the mega feedback sound that might occur if your bass is in the wrong place. If everything starts from always off, then you know you're not going to have an issue with a pedal being on.

Well, everything went surprising well at rehearsal! I did make a few odd patch changes in a few tunes but, all in all, it went better then expected! I was a bit skeptical about the PXL Live but Joyo did it. Now, we'll have to see if they build it sturdy enough...
