The Soundblox 2 firmware updates are included in the HUB Manager software download. The current Firmware version for the Orbital Modulator is FW Version 6.

Please let me know if this get's things working right for you. :)

1D10T error. The firmware needed to be updated. Sorry for wasting your time, but the help is much appreciated.

I couldn't be happier with these pedals. I'm seriously considering replacing the VT Bass Deluxe with something smaller in order to make room for another SB2 pedal. I do miss my MWBD Pro.

So, all firmware are correct
All pedals are recognized
I can access the scene on the software , and when I modify settings on the software , it will change on the pedal immediately

As soon as I try to load one of the presets from the software ... The pedal loses connectionView attachment 681491

When the pedals lose connection, does the top left box in the HUB manager turn gray and say, "Hub Not-Connected," or do the pedals stop responding, with the HUB still being recognized? Thanks!

I can't say this for 100% certain, but: I believe they were working and then stopped working in between times when I had it hooked up to the Hub Manager. So you are saying this is impossible or at least there is no known way that this would happen? I can't imagine I hit "Erase Scene List" even by accident.

I've confirmed with our designer that there isn't a way to delete the HUB settings without using the HUB manager. Are you currently able to save a preset on your HUB and view it in the manager? Try creating a preset on a higher up program number, like 100+, and try viewing it in the manager. This will allow us to see if the memory chip is working properly. Thanks!

it just loses the connection, i need to close the window ... re open it , and i can control it again ... :cautious:

Hmm. If you don't mind... I'm gonna try to get a better idea with a few more questions. Are you using a Windows, or Mac? When you try loading a preset, does it give you the same result, when loading from the "Scene Viewer" AND the individual pedal option? Thanks!

Quick question, would the visual sound 1 spot combo be an appropriate power source for SA pedals?
I used one for a while to power my whole
Board which included 2 SB pedals and a hub plus more. If you are just using a few pedals then it should be fine. If you start noticing any extra noise or glitches then I'd start upgrading that power source!

Thanks for your answer! I'll have 4 SB2 pedals, the Hub, and a Midi Mouse, so hopefully that won't cause too much noise.

mind the questions?!?!?!?! i appreciate the help!!! :)

so, i'm on a macbook pro

hub plugged in , i'm working on scene 17. i'm using a pedalpalette as my MIDI controller , and i'm on the preset that corrsponds to MIDI preset 17 (bank 5 , loop 1)

i double click the MANTA:

Screen Shot 2015-09-04 at 19.43.55.png

at this point any tweaking i do will immediately affect the pedal ... up to here, no problem what so ever.

i even saved the scene with the tweaking , and it worked perfectly ...

Screen Shot 2015-09-04 at 19.44.08.png

as soon as i load a preset ...

that's it , pedal does not respond , as if i disengaged it ...

only after closing that secondary window, and double clicking the MANTA again , the manta will work , with the previous setting it had before i attempted to load the preset ...

I'd be worried about noise with that many digital pedals chained together.
I ran 2 SB2 pedals and a M5 and tuner without issue or noise. Even with my newer setup with 3 SB2 and a One series plus Soleman all worked. BUT I was having issues I think we're unrelated to the power but I went for a TRex Chameleon just to be done with power as a possible bottleneck.

Hello,

Based on your description, I think I may know the cause of the problem. It's likely that there is a channel mismatch.

First, let me explain the difference between the Hub channel and the pedal channels (IDs).

The Hub channel defines which channel the Hub will respond to on its MIDI Input port. For example, if you set the Hub channel to 5, then you must make sure that your MIDI controller sends program change messages to the Hub using channel 5. The Hub channel can be edited in the Hub Manager by clicking the Edit Hub Hardware Settings button.

Then, there is the Pedal Channel, also called the Pedal ID. The Pedal Channel/ID is something that exists to distinguish between two devices of the same type. For example, if you had 2 Mantas on your board, both connected to the Hub, you need to assign each one to a separate channel (ID) in order for the Hub to be able to communicate with each one of them separately. So, you could set one Manta to ID 1 and the other Manta to ID 2, and this would let you use multiple Mantas on the same board, in the same scene, at the same time... each doing something differently. Pedals will only respond to messages that the Hub sends to them using their unique ID number.

The important thing to note here is that the Pedal Channel (or ID) is completely separate from the Hub's channel. It's kind of like an internal channel number that the Hub uses to differentiate between multiple devices attached to itself. In 99% of cases, you want the Pedal ID to be set to 1. You only should ever change the Pedal ID if you have more than one of the same pedal type on the same board, connected to the same Hub.

So, my guess is that you may have possibly set one of your Pedals to have an ID that is not 1. Double-click on the pedal in the My Board - Connected Devices display and make sure that Channel (Device ID) is set to 1.

When you add a pedal to a new scene, the Pedal Channel will default to whatever it is set to in the My Board - Connected Devices display. So, for example, if your pedal was set to Pedal Channel 4, and you add it to a new Scene, it will use Pedal Channel 4 by default. Everything will work fine in the editor window.

However, when you load a preset from the preset list, the pedal will stop responding. This is because the Pedal Channel is stored as a part of the preset, and all of our standard presets use Pedal Channel 1. You can see the Pedal Channel by clicking the Show Additional Controls button. It is labeled there as MIDI Channel but this is actually an incorrect label - it should really say Pedal Channel. This should be set to 1.

So, the key here is to make sure that all of your pedals are set to Pedal Channel 1. This is not related to the Hub Channel, so don't worry. You can set the Hub to whatever channel you need.

Please try that and let me know if it resolves the problem.

First thing tomorrow afternoon ;)

Thank you for the effort !!!!! Much appreciated !!!!

Hi there, ive been browsing the SASS with great interest over the last few weeks since I purchased a a manta, OFD, hub and expression pedal . I thought this may be a good place to post a problem I have with my setup....

when using my expression pedal as a conventional wah, it responds fine. but if I use it as a slow gradual swell, the pedal does not respond. until I move it faster and it will catch up with itself. I have the pedal plugged onto the sensor input on the hub.

I assume the pedal is not faulty as it responds to fast movements, so maybe its a software/firmware thing? I have already updated my pedals to the latest firmware through the hub manager.

thanks in advance
