It was a big effort to get our products into Musicians Friend and GC on line. We are now there and doing well.

Getting into GC stores is also very hard. They want stuff that sells itself and in high volume.

Sweetwater evaluated the SB2 line carefully and thought it was too niche. My hope is that the One Series will open up their minds.

Can I point out that what most of you like about our products is sometimes exactly what keeps us from being accepted in mainstream stores? Its crazy, I know!

Funny enough I thought being sorta "multi-effects" (shh I know) would open it up to being more welcome in Box stores. I don't know what makes it more "niche" than any other "Multi-Effects" unit (shhh I know I know)

My point was primarily that new units are literally sold by Guitar Center, contrary to what was initially stated. But you are right, it's not the full line and they do not appear to be at many, if any, brick-and-mortar stores.

One Series pedals look like other pedals and can be used as "regular" pedals. I can see SA's point of really pushing this series to appeal to the market where they weren't before. It is a shame because the SB2s can really be used as a "regular" pedal without all the midi stuff. And when using as a regular pedal you get the added bonus of 2 presets! I am really spoiled now and have little interest in other pedals with only the option of "on" or "off".

I am SB2 for life. Or until Sb3, or whatever. The only reason I like the one Series over the SB2 would be the signal routing option and phone editor. The size helps too, but there is just something about the SB2 line that I can't help but love.

Sorry to keep picking this scab, but it would be nice for SA to advise some commitment to release the Reflex USB editor. Not asking for instant gratification here, and totally expect that SA will be consistent as with previous releases of similar features (ie. Hub manager software was released several months after the Hub release). However, based on the responses from SA so far, it seems like there is little to no commitment to do this, if I am interpreting the “low priority” comments correctly.

I think everyone that participates in the SASS forum is a huge fan of SA and we genuinely appreciate how open SA is with all things Source Audio including product release plans which is largely unmatched in the industry. I don´t think SA is going to lose many sales if features such as the USB Editor take some time be released, however, I think some, including myself, purchase these products with the promise that this feature will eventually be available. To be advised that these features have little to no priority is a bit disappointing.

Yeah - I feel so spoiled every time I look at a traditional pedal and get upset that I can only have it do one thing at a time without knob twiddling. It's especially annoying when I'm trying to minimize the amount of stuff I'm carrying around.

I liked when everything on my board was digital and I didn't have to worry about accidentally hitting knobs, or the kids getting into my office and wreaking havoc.

@Nathan Navarro I attempted some more testing tonight, and ran into a potential issue that effects my testing (but isn't exactly relevant to my core issue).

I tried the alternate program gastric suggested (snoize MIDI Monitor) but not what adamaarts suggested (MIDI Ox does not run on Mac, I didn't realize that). Plugging the Beat Buddy into those programs I still could not see the MIDI clock or Start/Stop commands that the Beat Buddy is obviously sending based on the reactions of my other pedals. However, I did see the MIDI Notes that the Beat Buddy puts out when it is playing.

My hypothesis is that my USB-MIDI interface---an M-Audio UNO---may, intentionally or unintentionally, filter some things out. That's just a hypothesis---I didn't test that yet, because I wasn't sure how (more on this in a bit).

To be clear, the UNO is not normally in my MIDI chain, so this doesn't change anything I'm reporting about the interaction of the Beat Buddy and Hub. And I've seen the UNO record PC, CC, and Note On/Off messages before, so I am still skeptical that the Beat Buddy is passing one of those along. But on three different programs (and two devices, laptop and iPad) using the UNO as my interface, I still can't see MIDI clock, etc.

It didn't occur to me until later that I can use my Zivix PUC as an interface, so I will try that later to see if it improves the monitoring situation.
