Along those same lines, is there a way to set the default preset on the Reflex? I did a ton of programming over the weekend and now mine is starting up on an LFO preset which is not Preset 1, regardless of what preset it is on when I power down.

So this is awkward. I dislike effects... with a passion. Any time I've got the itch to try them, I've found them to be nothing but tone-sucking wastes of time and money. I'm ridiculously hard to satisfy when it comes to effects. Probably 10x as hard to please than I'm sounding right now.

I got the itch again for some reason and grabbed a BEF Pro. It actually isn't a tone-sucking waste of time and money. On or bypassed my tone is still there, the big meaty bottom end isn't lost somewhere in the little box. It is utterly simple to use yet I was able to somehow spend a couple hours going through each and every little corner of the thing seeing what it could do without losing interest. Contrary to previous experience with effects I could actually tell that each setting could be useful and each change in parameter could satisfy the desire to take it from just a little to a heck of a lot.

So many times before I could find a few settings in a pedal that would be really useful and everything else was just... there. Best way I can put it is I'd buy a pedal, mess with it for a few weeks, and then find some way to use the pedal. At best, I would find a setting and think "this would be really good for song x and y" but ultimately it was not worth putting up with the loss of tone, extra hassle, etc for so little return.

I've actually started feeling/getting creative with the BEF Pro within a few minutes of getting things hooked up where other pedals didn't trigger that at all.

So... thanks Source Audio. One of the few times, in music equipment, that I felt I got my money's worth.

@Dark Barn Great idea. Noted. ;)

@Adamixoye I'm currently unable to replicate your situation. I've tried pulling up presets through the Reflex's interface as well as a Gecko Midi controller. Are you using anything in particular to pull up your presets? Which preset number is it stuck on?

There are times when it seems like we hear nothing but: "it looks like it is going to sound digital" and "I don't understand analog dry path, but I must have it in all of my pedals....even if its a bad idea!!" or (my favorite) "I purchased a Source Audio pedal and it sounded terrible so I sent it back immediately" (and it comes with remarks which make it clear the user never actually purchased anything from us.

I shared your note with the whole company. Deeply appreciated! Maybe we will get back to work on that octave/synth project again some day :)

Noted. Last active preset will be stored and recalled at power-up.

I ran both of these by Jesse and he is on board. It may take some time to implement these changes, but they are both on the feature list now.
