....The Hub is acting up a bit. If I hit a preset that has the Multi Wave in it, then his another that doesn't, the Hub "drags" the MWB into the next preset and I have to manually switch it off. Anyone ever seen this? It's been doing it for a while, even after firmware updates.

More than likely the scene where you have to manually bypass the Multiwave simply doesn't have the Multiwave saved in bypass. So, change to that scene, bypass the Multiwave, then re-save the scene, should be fixed. Happens to me all of the time if I swap in a new SA pedal into my Hub setup. Save a few new scenes, they work great, then it takes me a few minutes to realize why the new pedal stays on with my old scenes.

Quick Soleman question. I'm trying to program a set list (1st time I'm making one). I'm using the Soleman Editor software (Mac). I name set list 0 and add 5 scenes to it (#s 5, 8, 11, 1, 4). The Soleman shows the set list, but with only one scene in it (#5). Using the software, I change to set list 1 (which is empty) and then back to set list 0. It still has the name, but only has the single scene in it (again, #5). I've done this several times. Any idea what is happening?

Works for us. Are you on 1.06? When you change the name, does it show up on Soleman?

I am on 1.06 firmware. When I change the name with the software, it shows up immediately on the Soleman. I've been able to create a set list using the pedal and it shows up in the software. However, I can't get the name to stay using the hardware.. Weird! I'll try to reset the firmware.

What are those Line6 boxes that look like Atari controllers from the 80s?
That is an impressive amount of stuff on that board, btw. I've never had the hub do what you describe.

Line 6 G10 wireless receivers with the transmitters plugged in and charging. I color-coded them to keep them straight.

I know this might happen if, in the next preset, you don't set the MW to bypass either on the hub software and then save the preset or if you manually save presets from the hub.

I am on 1.06 firmware. When I change the name with the software, it shows up immediately on the Soleman. I've been able to create a set list using the pedal and it shows up in the software. However, I can't get the name to stay using the hardware.. Weird! I'll try to reset the firmware.

OK. Updated the firmware, but that didn't help. So, I tried doing things in a different order. I updated the scenes in the list with the software and THEN updated the name of the list. When I did it that way, it saved it and sent it to the pedal. It doesn't save unless I change the name after adding scenes to the list. I can't just hit enter in the name field. I actually have to change it. If I remove a scene from the list or change a scene in the list, it updates right away.

I can work with it.

That is correct!

We know soooooooooooooooooooo much more about what can go wrong with MIDI now than we did when the Hub was created. Doing Soleman, Reflex, and Nemesis really expanded our horizons. If you think about it, we build lots of things that are all over pedalboards these days. This provides much deeper system-level knowledge.

So for anyone with a Pedaltrain Nano/Mini/Metro that doesn't have room for the SA Dual Expression, both the Hotone Bass Press and Dunlop DP4 work perfectly when plugged into the hub. I wish there were a way to ditch the hub and just use a converter cable, but I'm not sure that's possible.

The Dunlop is way better built and nicer to use. My only issue with it is the extreme angle of the heel down position would be uncomfortable to rest on for too long, so I am going to find or make some kind of wedge to raise the back of it slightly. I'll be using it with a Manta, heel down most of the time and opening up to do subtle synthy sweeps. It'll be used like this for half a track so it needs to be comfortable!

If it won't screw with your head, you can set it up to sweep backwards. i.e. have the effect off when the toe is down and open up as you go to the heel down. The hub manager software can set it that way.

Good idea, there's a switch inside the exp pedal to flip it also. It would take some getting used to though, so I'm gonna see what I can do to fix the angle first!

So , let's say I start with a saved preset , I tweak the knobs a little and want to save it to the app presets ... Must I go through ALL the setting to make sure nothing is different ? Isn't there an option like with the Hub to "read from pedal" then save??

There isn't a read from pedal since it is one way communication.

I am pretty sure you'd just adjust only the parameters you want changed, don't touch anything else, then burn to pedal. As long as you don't hit the 'send all' none of the other parameters will be sent over, only ones you move.
